According to information from the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, today (July 8), the Northeast region, the West of Phu Tho province and the Central region are experiencing hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees, some places above 37 degrees such as: Hoa Binh station (Phu Tho) 37.8 degrees, Bac Me station (Tuyen Quang) 38.0 degrees, Lang station (Hanoi) 38.0 degrees, Tinh Gia station (Thanh Hoa) 38.0 degrees, Do Luong station (Nghe An) 38.2 degrees, Cam Ranh station (Khanh Hoa) 37.6 degrees.

It is forecasted that today (July 9), the Northeast region and the West of Phu Tho province will continue to have hot weather with the highest temperature commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees, some places over 37 degrees; the Northwest region will have localized hot weather with the highest temperature over 35 degrees. The lowest relative humidity is commonly 55-60%.

In addition, the area from Thanh Hoa to Da Nang , the eastern provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa province today and tomorrow (July 10) will be hot and sunny with high temperatures commonly ranging from 35-37 degrees, some places above 37 degrees. The lowest relative humidity is commonly 50-55%.

From July 10, the heat in the Northeast region and the West of Phu Tho province will gradually decrease. From July 11, the heat in the Central region will gradually ease.

Due to the effects of heat combined with low humidity, there is a high risk of explosions and fires in residential areas due to increased demand for electricity and the risk of forest fires. In addition, heat can also cause dehydration, exhaustion, and heat stroke in the human body when exposed to high temperatures for a long time.

The Central Highlands is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the afternoon and evening, there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places experiencing heavy rain. Southwesterly winds at level 2-3. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. The lowest temperature is 20-23 degrees. The highest temperature is 27-30 degrees, with some places experiencing over 30 degrees.

The South is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the afternoon and evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some places having heavy rain. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. Lowest temperature 23-26 degrees. Highest temperature 30-33 degrees, some places above 33 degrees.

Ho Chi Minh City is cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms; in the afternoon and evening there will be scattered showers and thunderstorms, with some heavy rain in some places. Southwesterly winds level 2-3. There is a possibility of tornadoes, lightning and strong gusts of wind during thunderstorms. Lowest temperature 24-26 degrees. Highest temperature 31-33 degrees.

Hydrometeorological experts added that from the night of July 9 to July 10, the mountainous and midland areas of the North will have moderate rain, heavy rain and thunderstorms, locally very heavy rain with common rainfall of 30-70mm, locally over 150mm. Warning of the risk of heavy rain (>100mm/3 hours).

In the Central Highlands and the South, there will be some places with heavy rain with rainfall of 10-30mm, and some places over 60mm.
