Chief Justice of the Provincial People's Court Vo Ke Nghiep affirmed: "The quality of trials throughout the entire judicial system continues to be maintained. In 2025, there will be no cases of wrongful convictions of innocent people or the failure to prosecute criminals; no cases will be suspended without justification. Difficult, complex, and problematic cases will be promptly resolved."

In the criminal field, the two-level People's Courts consistently ensure that trials are conducted fairly, with the right person being charged with the right crime, and in accordance with the law. For civil cases, the units focus on resolving complex cases that have dragged on for many years; strengthening guidance for parties to properly fulfill their obligations to provide evidence, and proactively verifying and collecting documents in accordance with the law. Mediation and dialogue continue to be a highlight. By 2025, the number of successful mediation cases in litigation and under the Law on Mediation and Dialogue in Courts is expected to reach 16,535 cases (58.9% of the number of cases resolved), contributing to easing conflicts among the people and maintaining security and order at the grassroots level.

Despite the achievements, the handling of administrative cases still faces many difficulties due to defendants' slow provision of documents and evidence, and repeated requests for postponements of hearings and trials. However, with the strong determination of the leadership and staff, in 2025, the two-level People's Courts will receive 453 administrative cases, resolve 317 cases, achieving a rate of nearly 70%; the number of cases received increased by 124 cases, and the number of cases resolved increased by 41 cases compared to the same period in 2024.

Vo Nguyen Nam, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Provincial Party Agencies, affirmed: "Despite significant personnel and administrative boundary changes, the judicial sector has successfully completed the reorganization and leadership appointments for 15 regional People's Courts and the merger of the provincial People's Court apparatus; judicial activities have not been interrupted, and the rights of the people are still ensured."

Chief Justice of the People's Court of Region 15, Thai Chi Binh, stated that after the merger of the People's Court of An Phu District and the People's Court of Tan Chau Town, the unit faced numerous difficulties due to the increased volume of cases and the complex developments in crime and civil disputes. Coordination with some relevant agencies was sometimes slow, and there was a turnover in the staff. “To fulfill our political tasks and work targets for 2025, the unit strengthened public service discipline, monitored the progress of case resolution by judges; focused human resources on judicial work; built an equal working environment, and promoted the abilities and strengths of civil servants and employees through appropriate task assignments, timely encouragement, and rewards. By the end of the year, we were honored to be the only unit to receive the Government's emulation flag,” Mr. Thai Chi Binh said.

Suggesting directions for work in 2026, Mr. Vo Nguyen Nam proposed that the judicial sector continue to effectively implement the new two-level People's Court model; further improve the quality of trials, striving to minimize the rate of cases overturned or amended due to subjective errors; strengthen coordination with functional agencies in collecting evidence, especially for administrative and civil cases; resolutely prevent overdue cases and cases that are temporarily suspended without justification; tighten discipline, uphold the responsibility of leaders, strengthen inspection and supervision of public service, and strictly handle acts of harassment and corruption.

The achievements of the two-level People's Courts of An Giang province demonstrate the effectiveness of organizational restructuring coupled with maintaining discipline, improving the quality of trials, contributing to the protection of justice, human rights, and citizens' rights, serving the requirements of socio -economic development and maintaining stability in the area in the new period.

In 2025, the two-level People's Courts in the province handled 42,243 cases; resolving 87.3%, including 29,226 cases resolved through litigation and 7,658 cases resolved through the Law on Mediation and Dialogue in Court. Compared to the same period in 2024, the number of cases handled increased by 1,869, and the number of cases resolved increased by 1,667.
