Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet is the Secretary of Quang Nam Province.

Standing Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee Luong Nguyen Minh Triet, 48 years old, was assigned by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of Quang Nam province.

On the afternoon of January 24, at the headquarters of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Central Organization Committee Truong Thi Mai presented the Politburo 's decision to Mr. Triet. He will join the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Secretary of the Quang Nam Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term.

Mr. Triet will replace Mr. Phan Viet Cuong, who was allowed by the Politburo to retire from January 1, officially retire from July 1.

Head of the Central Organizing Committee Truong Thi Mai believes that Mr. Triet will inherit the results from previous terms of Quang Nam to quickly approach and grasp the local situation, and together with the Executive Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, complete the targets of the 22nd Party Congress. "I also hope that the Provincial Party Committee and the Standing Committee will maintain their sense of responsibility and stand shoulder to shoulder with Comrade Triet to continue to develop Quang Nam," said Ms. Tomorrow.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Triet said that it was an honor and a heavy responsibility to the Party Committee, the government and the people of the province. He himself must strive, constantly study, practice, be dedicated, responsible, and wholeheartedly devoted to the common development of the province, maintain moral qualities, lifestyle, and responsibility to set an example.

Mr. Luong Nguyen Minh Triet is from Duy Xuyen district, Quang Nam province. He is an alternate member of the 13th Party Central Committee, has a master's degree in business administration, and a university degree in Chemical Technology, majoring in Silicate.

He used to be Secretary of the City Youth Union, Secretary of Lien Chieu District, Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, Chief of Office of the Da Nang City Party Committee, Secretary of Hai Chau District, and Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Da Nang City Party Committee. From December 2020 to present, he was elected Chairman of the Da Nang City People's Council.
