Victoria Police issued a statement at 11:41 a.m. local time on March 20 about a motorcycle accident on the Westgate Expressway that occurred at noon on March 5, involving Mr. Mai Trieu Nguyen, 48, a Vietnamese national. According to information from this agency, after being seriously injured, Mr. Mai Trieu Nguyen was taken to the hospital for treatment for many days but did not survive.

Mr. Mai Trieu Nguyen, owner of the Mai Nguyen mobile store chain, passed away in Australia on the morning of March 21 after a motorcycle accident on the Westgate Highway on March 5.

The CBC (BMW Adventure Motorcycle and Camping Community), where he was a member, announced his passing at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. His family is currently completing the procedures to bring him back to Vietnam.

The passing of Mr. Mai Trieu Nguyen left a deep sorrow in the technology world, especially those working in the retail industry and the technology-loving community in Vietnam. Previously, many people hoped for a miracle after he was taken to the hospital for treatment.

As a technology enthusiast, Mr. Mai Trieu Nguyen started his business in 2002 with the service of installing software, ringtones and wallpapers for Nokia phones. After that, the Mai Nguyen brand quickly became a familiar name in Ho Chi Minh City in the field of providing value-added services for mobile phones.

In 2008-2009, he opened Mai Nguyen Luxury, specializing in high-end phones such as Vertu, Mobiado, serving high-end customers. Realizing the strong development of smartphones, he continued to expand to phone lines of Apple, HTC, Samsung, Sony... At the same time, he also tried his hand in the audio field with brands such as JBL, Harman/Kardon, Bose, B&O...

In addition to technology, Mr. Mai Trieu Nguyen is also passionate about motorcycles and adventure travel . On the occasion of his 20th anniversary, he launched Mai Nguyen Rider Store, specializing in providing products for motorcyclists and outdoor gear.
