Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong holds the position of Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee

Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Nguyen Trong Nghia presented the Politburo's decision appointing Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong to hold the position of Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee.

On October 1, at the 1st Congress of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam announced the Politburo 's decisions on personnel work; Decision on assignment and appointment of the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Provincial Party Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the term 2025-2030.

Dong Thap Provincial Party Secretary Ngo Chi Cuong delivered a speech accepting the assignment.

The Politburo decided to assign and appoint Central Party Committee member and Vinh Long Provincial Party Secretary for the 2020-2025 term Ngo Chi Cuong to join the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Dong Thap Provincial Party Secretary for the 2025-2030 term.

The Congress announced the list of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 53 members. The Dong Thap Provincial Party Standing Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consists of 16 members.

The Deputy Secretaries of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term include: Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hai Tram; Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Chau Thi My Phuong; Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang; Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee Pham Van Thang.

The Executive Committee of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term was introduced to the Congress.

Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee (term 2020-2025) Le Quoc Phong was assigned by the Politburo to take on new responsibilities; assigned to continue directing the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee until the end of the Congress.

Mr. Ngo Chi Cuong (born 1967), from Tra Vinh province, now Vinh Long province. Bachelor of political economics, bachelor of administration. Member of the 13th Party Central Committee.

October 2015 - October 2020: Standing Deputy Secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh Province

October 2020 - June 2025: Secretary of Tra Vinh Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Tra Vinh province.

July 2025 - October 1, 2025: Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee (after merger), Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Vinh Long province.

On October 1, 2025, he was appointed by the Politburo to hold the position of Secretary of Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
