A car crash on a rainy day
Mr. Tran Van Thanh (residing in Long Hoa ward) said: “In recent days, erratic rain and storms, strong winds have significantly affected traffic. Traffic participants face difficulties in observing, slippery roads, which can easily lead to unsafe situations. Even after prolonged rains, many roads have puddles of water, causing difficulties for drivers.”
Sharing the same concern when participating in traffic during the rainy season, Ms. Huynh Thi Hong (residing in Truong Mit commune) shared: "Many people driving on the road when it rains have low awareness, do not obey traffic lights, and drive on the wrong side of the road. They disregard the danger by speeding and recklessly overtaking to avoid the rain, which can easily lead to traffic accidents."
To ensure safety, traffic participants need to strictly comply with legal regulations, equip themselves with necessary skills, and be careful when driving on the road during rainy and stormy days.
During storms, drivers need to pay attention to reduce speed and keep a safe distance.
Mr. Tran Thien Nhan Vuong, an employee of Tay Ninh Electricity Company, shared: “When it rains and storms, bad weather affects visibility, I drive paying attention to reduce speed, keep distance, avoid flooded areas, beware of manholes, avoid trees or structures that can fall during big storms. In case of heavy rain and wind, I will find shelter to ensure safety.”
According to the Traffic Police Department, Tay Ninh Provincial Police, in recent days, due to the impact of storms No. 9 and No. 10, the province has had widespread rain, slippery roads, and many potential dangers while participating in traffic. Drivers should try to move slowly, pay attention, and always keep a safe distance. When traveling on the road by motorbike in the rain, everyone should be equipped with neat raincoats; always give way and help each other during traffic./.
