Announcing the Decision of the Director of the Tax Department on the functions, tasks, powers and organizational structure of the Provincial and Municipal Tax Departments under the Tax Department and the Base Tax Departments under the Provincial and Municipal Tax Departments. Announcing the decision to appoint leaders for 34 Provincial and Municipal Tax Departments nationwide.
According to the announcement of the Tax Department at the conference, from July 1, 2025, Dong Nai Provincial Tax will manage tax declaration and collection activities in Dong Nai province. Dong Nai Provincial Tax has 10 affiliated tax units, managing taxes in communes throughout the province.

The conference also announced the decision to appoint temporary positions of leaders of Dong Nai Province Tax Department, including: appointing Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang, Deputy Head of Tax Department of Region XV to hold the position of Head of Dong Nai Province Tax Department. Appointing Mr. Dau Duc Anh, Nguyen Van Vien, Nguyen Minh Hai, Lam Van Dat, Ta Hoang Giang to hold the position of Deputy Head of Dong Nai Province Tax Department.
The decisions take effect from July 1, 2025.

Speaking at the conference, Director of the Tax Department Mai Xuan Thanh requested the Tax Heads of provinces, cities, and establishments to urgently approach the work, especially immediately deploying advisory work for the provincial level, and strengthening coordination with authorities at all levels in a close and effective manner.

In order to respond to the implementation of the two-level local government model from July 1, the tax sector has rearranged 20 regional tax branches into 34 provincial and municipal tax branches, ensuring that tax management as well as service to people and businesses is smooth and uninterrupted in the context of many changes. The establishment of 34 provincial tax units will bring many advantages to the tax sector. This model allows tax agencies to operate closely with local governments, covering all revenue sources, increasing the initiative of local budgets.
