The Vietnam Padel Open 2026 will kick off on May 16th at the Vietpadel Country Club (Ho Chi Minh City), organized by the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF). The tournament will take place over two days, May 16th and 17th, with a total prize pool of 71 million VND.
This is the second national-level Padel tournament organized by VTF since 2025. Following the success of the national championship earlier this year, the Vietnam Padel Open continues to be a professional platform for the Padel community in Vietnam, while also creating a foundation for building a national team.

Padel Vietnam is accelerating its professionalization process. |
According to Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, representative of VTF, the tournament not only promotes the development of the Padel movement but also serves the purpose of selecting athletes for the Vietnamese Padel team aiming for ASIAD 2026 and future international competitions.
This year's tournament brings together approximately 40 domestic and international pairs living, studying, and working in Vietnam. The athletes compete in 7 categories: Men's Doubles Open, Women's Doubles Open, Men's Doubles Amateur, Men's Doubles Semi-Amateur, Mixed Doubles Semi-Amateur, Women's Doubles Semi-Amateur, and Doubles Newbie.
Many high-quality players participated, helping to maintain the tournament's competitiveness. These included Tran Tien Thinh from the Army team, and Johnny Bao and Phong Le from Vietpadel. The fast-paced, powerful matches, filled with skillful maneuvers, created a vibrant atmosphere at the competition venues.
The fact that VTF is continuously organizing tournaments in 2026 shows a systematic development plan for Padel. The Federation plans to organize four more tournaments nationwide to expand the movement, improve professional quality, and gradually bring Padel Vietnam closer to international competition standards.
