'Paramount' and 'Umbrella Exhibition', two exciting fashion shows for the end of the year.

Cuong Dam organizes the first fashion and art exhibition in Ho Chi Minh City.

As the founder of two brands, C.DAM and CHATS by C.DAM, Creative Director Cuong Dam has a decade of creative experience in the fashion industry. Throughout his career, he has made his mark with outstanding and innovative runway shows. Examples include the bold encounter of Rendezvous universes between the bustling streets and the more than 100-year-old space of the Hanoi Opera House; the reverse catwalk affirming the spirit of self-mastery of modern women through the Figure collection; and the fusion of forms deeply inspired by Northern Vietnamese culture and surrealist futurism in the Inflowing collection .

The Paramount multidisciplinary fashion exhibition opens on November 26th at Nina Next Space, District 4, Ho Chi Minh City. The event marks the first time Cuong Dam has presented fashion designs combined with sculpture, light experiments, music , and performance art.

Paramount is C.DAM's third project, marking a significant shift for the brand as it draws inspiration from both futuristic and contemporary elements in its design language. In harmony with global fashion trends, the brand creates a new reality – where the past, present, and future seem intertwined, raising questions and providing answers to life's introspection.

Through its powerful voice of freedom, fashion tells the story of creativity through the journey of discovering the "higher-self"—the ultimate deity within each person.

The male artist shared that, amidst conflicting viewpoints on fashion—from emphasizing practicality to calls to avoid "framing" creativity within rigid frameworks—after 10 years in the profession, he remains steadfast in his philosophy of infusing ideas into every fold of fabric. This is how fashion can transcend the short term, creating enduring vitality over time. Without ideas, fashion is merely lifeless pieces of fabric, lacking true appeal and value.

Fashion and sculpture have long existed as two parallel streams, reflecting the flourishing of imagination, technique, and knowledge. Using the contrasting nature of materials and forms to contemplate their limitations, the Paramount exhibition creates a striking encounter between these two creative forms, thereby affirming the process of in-depth exploration and expansion of thought by artists as they create works of art.

The exhibition journey is emotionally guided by the evocative sounds of Thanh Chu, thereby opening up a captivating dialogue space between art and technology, imbued with a distinctly different way of thinking.

The story of "Hope" at the Ô Exhibition 2024

Now in its fourth year, the Ô Exhibition 2024, a fashion, art, and technology exhibition, brings together nearly 30 designers, photographers, and artists from diverse fields to create an emotional journey centered around the theme of Hope .

Each artist offers an interpretation of the question of where hope begins, as well as the form of hope in each person's heart.

At the event, held from December 11-15 at the Bitexco building, District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, the audience will embark on a story about the twilight of humanity, traversing moments of deep darkness before being reborn into a new future.

The Ô Exhibition is part of the Ô by L'Officiel 2024 project, which includes the Ô Photography Contest and the Ô Inspiration Talks series of seminars.

Curated by Behalf Studio founder Giang Nguyen, the Ô Exhibition takes viewers through various periods of the world.

The exhibition depicts a post-apocalyptic world with the remnants of human civilization. The primary materials used include stone, metal, and plastic. Following this, the exhibition presents metal installations and digital screens, transporting viewers to a vision of technology far removed from human control. This is a scene that is both "strange and familiar" in today's world.

However, after much thought and reflection, what leaves a lasting impact is the mindset of the human hands that created the advanced technology before us. From there, humanity's journey is reborn.
