The Economic Police Department - Hanoi City Police has just dismantled a large-scale electronic cigarette trading ring in the city, worth 40 billion VND, and arrested 14 related subjects.

The leaders are Phung Thi My (born in 1991, residing in Gia Lam commune, Hanoi ), Trinh Minh Thanh (born in 1990, residing in Long Bien ward, Hanoi ), and Tran Thi Thu Hang (born in 1990, residing in Thanh Tri ward, Hanoi ).

The investigation determined that the subjects contacted Chinese subjects to purchase goods, then transferred them to Vietnam through many different channels.

The goods were transported to Hanoi by truck, hidden in secret locations, and then distributed to subordinate "agents".

The subjects use social networking applications to exchange and buy and sell, with the aim of erasing traces immediately after the transaction.

The Economic Police Department - Hanoi City Police Department simultaneously inspected and arrested 14 subjects for trading in prohibited goods, seizing 127,000 electronic cigarette products worth about 40 billion VND.

Based on investigation documents, the Investigation Police Agency - City Police has decided to prosecute 14 defendants for the crime of trading in prohibited goods.

The Economic Police Department is continuing to expand the investigation and handle the subjects according to the provisions of law.
