United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres
“I strongly condemn the grave escalation represented by the large-scale attack by the Islamic Republic of Iran on Israel this evening. I call for an immediate end to these hostile actions.”

“China is deeply concerned about the escalation following Iran’s attacks,” a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said. “China calls on relevant parties to remain calm and exercise restraint to avoid further escalation of tensions.”
The spokesman added that this cycle of tension was “a spillover from the conflict in Gaza” and that quelling that conflict was a “top priority”.
European Union (EU)
“The EU strongly condemns Iran’s unacceptable attack on Israel,” EU top diplomat Josep Borrell said in a post on X. “This is an unprecedented escalation and a serious threat to regional security.”
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Qatar
The Gulf state called on all parties involved to de-escalate and exercise maximum restraint. In a statement, Qatar’s Foreign Ministry expressed “deep concern over the developments in the region.”
The statement called on “all parties to de-escalate and exercise maximum restraint,” and called on “the international community to take urgent action to de-escalate tensions and de-escalate tensions in the region.”

The Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry issued a statement expressing concern over the “military escalation” and calling on “all parties to exercise maximum restraint and spare the region and its people from the threat of war.” The statement called on the United Nations Security Council to “assume its responsibility in maintaining international peace and security.”
