"We struggled, but came back stronger, then struggled again at the end of the game, but still came back stronger," said manager Michael Carrick after a spectacular five-goal match at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium, where Man Utd came from behind to beat the home side and climb into the top four of the Premier League after matchday 23.

Arsenal got off to a good start, opening the scoring thanks to an own goal by Lisandro Martinez in the 29th minute, but Bryan Mbeumo equalized 1-1 after a mistake in Martin Zubimendi's back pass in the 37th minute.

Just five minutes into the second half, Patrick Dorgu unleashed a thunderous shot that curled into the top corner, leaving goalkeeper David Raya helpless and giving Man Utd a 2-1 lead. In the 84th minute, from a corner kick, Mikel Merino quickly scored to equalize for the home side Arsenal, making it 2-2.

However, just three minutes later, substitute striker Matheus Cunha scored a spectacular goal from over 23 meters with a curling right-footed shot that beat goalkeeper Raya, securing a 3-2 victory for Man Utd at the home ground of the Premier League leaders.

Speaking after the victory, coach Michael Carrick praised his players for fighting hard to secure all three points for the team.

"There were many positive aspects to the game. We were still fit despite only being back for 10 days and two games. Things will never be perfect at this stage, especially against a team like Arsenal, but there were many positive points and Man Utd will continue to build on that in the coming days and weeks."

The lads performed brilliantly; they were always ready to take on the task, wanted to do it, and gave it their all. You could see how much that meant to them at the end of the game.

"I'm really proud of them today, that's obvious, but this was a tough arena. Especially with the way the game unfolded, we persevered and had a great feeling at the end of the match," coach Michael Carrick expressed.

The English strategist also revealed how he revitalized Man Utd after manager Ruben Amorim was sacked due to the Red Devils' lackluster performance.

"I think it comes from the messages we convey and the way we behave. I trust them and I try to show that. It's not just about words; it's easy for me to tell the players something, or to tell them to talk about the game, but it's important to have the emotion to really convey it."

"You have to sense that confidence and belief, and they certainly have it, we need to maintain that," the coach born in 1981 declared.

When asked by the media whether he expected to lead Man Utd long-term after his interim period, manager Carrick humbly stated: "Nothing has changed. I've only been here for less than two weeks and I really want to do well, help the team improve and finish the season in the highest possible position."

Having days like this and last week is something you crave, and we want to continue building on that in the coming weeks."

Defender Harry Maguire also shared his joy after the victory against the higher-rated Arsenal team.

"This win is really important. Man Utd know that in the first game, the derby at Old Trafford, you always have to give it your all and you know that unexpected results can happen, so we had to prove that today."

We talked about it before the game, about having to play away at the league leaders, who have performed brilliantly this year, they pose a lot of challenges for us, to come here and be behind in the final minutes and then score the winning goal, it was a fantastic performance.

Michael Carrick arrived and performed brilliantly, bringing a new energy, and the whole team really became more united. Two tough games, perhaps everyone thought we wouldn't get many points, but winning both games is fantastic," the English center-back affirmed.
