E-commerce brokerage is an activity in which merchants, through their own digital platforms, act as intermediaries for parties in the buying and selling of goods, assets, and services, and receive a fee according to the brokerage contract. Unlike traditional brokerage, the broker and the brokered party do not necessarily have to be present at the same time when the service is provided; the process of sending, receiving, processing, and transmitting data is done electronically.
According to the book, e-commerce brokerage activities have many advantages, are in line with modern shopping trends, and are predicted to continue developing in diverse forms, vibrant content, and economic efficiency. However, given the rapid development of e-commerce on the internet, some current legal regulations have revealed shortcomings and obstacles, failing to keep pace with practical management requirements.
The book is structured into three chapters, focusing on clarifying theoretical issues regarding e-commerce brokerage activities; analyzing current legal regulations; evaluating practical application; and proposing ways to improve the legal framework for this type of service. Through this, the book contributes to providing additional research perspectives, supporting the identification and appropriate management of each type of e-commerce brokerage, aiming to build a transparent business environment and protect consumer rights.
Notably, this publication, reprinted by the Judicial Publishing House, retains some of the author's viewpoints to provide readers with a multi-faceted reference source. It is a useful resource for researchers, lecturers, law students, businesses operating on digital platforms, and anyone interested in e-commerce law.
