This morning, January 26th, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front organized the launching of the patriotic emulation movement, signed the emulation agreement for 2024, and commended and rewarded collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements. Attending the event were the Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council, Nguyen Dang Quang; the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Vo Van Hung; the Chairman of the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Dao Manh Hung; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council; and leaders of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

Launching the patriotic emulation movement for 2024, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Emulation and Commendation Council, Vo Van Hung, emphasized that 2024 is a year of special significance, a breakthrough year to accelerate the implementation of the goals and tasks set out in the Resolution of the 17th Provincial Party Congress and the 5-year plan 2021-2025.
In line with the Government's theme of "Discipline, responsibility; proactiveness, timeliness; acceleration, creativity; efficiency, sustainability," and with the determination to successfully implement the 2024 plan, the entire Party committee, government, military, and people of the province, more than ever, must continue to uphold traditions, pride, and aspirations for progress; promote the patriotic emulation spirit initiated by President Ho Chi Minh ; unite, be creative, seize new opportunities, proactively overcome difficulties and challenges, strive diligently, and be determined to comprehensively complete and exceed the 2024 plan.
In that spirit, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front launched an emulation movement throughout the Party, government, mass organizations, armed forces, and people of the province with the following main contents: Continuing to thoroughly understand Ho Chi Minh's thought on patriotic emulation, the Party's guidelines, and the State's policies and laws on emulation and reward work, in conjunction with implementing the Government 's action motto for 2024, the Provincial People's Committee's action program to implement Government Resolution No. 01/NQ-CP dated January 5, 2024; the Provincial Party Committee's Conclusion No. 497-KL/TU dated November 29, 2023; and the Provincial People's Council's Resolution No. 99/2023/NQ-HĐND on the socio-economic development plan for 2024 and the Provincial People's Committee's key work program for 2024. Strive to achieve and surpass the targets set in the 2024 plan.
Specifically, all efforts and utmost determination will be focused on the following key objectives: achieving a Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) growth rate of 6.5-7%; achieving a GRDP per capita of 75-77 million VND; achieving a total budget revenue of over 3,896 billion VND; achieving a total social investment of 26,500 billion VND; achieving a 76.2% rate of communes meeting national criteria for new rural development; creating 12,500 new jobs; achieving a health insurance coverage rate of 95.2%; and reducing the poverty rate by 1-1.5%.

Effectively coordinate among Party and government agencies, the Fatherland Front, and mass organizations to promote the role of gathering and building national unity in organizing and implementing patriotic emulation movements to fulfill the province's political tasks. Strengthen and improve the quality of activities of emulation blocs within the province; effectively identify, nurture, and replicate advanced models and examples of "good people, good deeds," creating a vibrant emulation atmosphere that attracts all organizations, individuals, and people from all walks of life to participate, fostering creativity, daring to think and act, and determined to strive to exceed the targets and tasks of agencies, units, organizations, and individuals...
To achieve the emulation tasks for 2024, on behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Van Hung calls on all levels, sectors, and people of the province to uphold the tradition of patriotism, the strength of national unity, and the aspiration for a developed and prosperous Quang Tri, to strive in patriotic emulation through concrete, dynamic, and creative actions; with all efforts, decisive actions, and the highest determination to comprehensively achieve the tasks of 2024.

At the ceremony, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, Dao Manh Hung, on behalf of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province – representing the great national unity bloc in the province – issued a call to respond to the patriotic emulation movements launched by the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial People's Council, and the Provincial People's Committee. Representatives of 16 emulation blocs throughout the province signed an emulation agreement for 2024.
On this occasion, authorized by the President and the Prime Minister, the provincial leaders awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to 7 individuals; the Third Class Labor Medal to 1 collective and 14 individuals; the National Emulation Fighter title to 5 individuals; the Government Emulation Flag to 13 collectives; and the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to 6 collectives and 17 individuals for outstanding achievements.
