Launching a campaign to 'strive for Ca Mau's GRDP growth to reach 8% or higher'

On the afternoon of March 19th, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province held its fourth conference, 10th term, 2024-2029, to launch the emulation movement "Striving to achieve a GRDP growth rate of 8% or higher for Ca Mau province in 2025"...

On this occasion, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province also organized the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 12, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in the development of science, technology, innovation, and national digital transformation within the Fatherland Front system and its member organizations in the province .

In response to the emulation movement "Striving for a GRDP growth rate of 8% or higher in Ca Mau province by 2025," the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province has issued numerous documents to promote the implementation of growth targets in various sectors and fields, especially the GRDP growth target and breakthrough solutions, demonstrating the local political determination to create unity and consensus among all strata of the people, contributing to the successful achievement of growth targets and indicators as set forth in the Government's Resolution. Specifically, Ca Mau province will focus on implementing key tasks and breakthrough solutions in the development of Sector I (fisheries, agriculture, forestry) with a growth rate of approximately 3.5%; Sector II (industry, construction) with a growth rate of approximately 10%; and Sector III (services) with a growth rate of approximately 10.4%...

Regarding the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 12, 2024, of the Politburo on breakthroughs in national science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation, based on the plans of the Provincial People's Committee and the Provincial Party Committee's Program, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province has concretized it with Plan No. 46/KH-MTTQ-BBT dated March 11, 2025, which focuses on three key areas: raising awareness among officials, union members, association members, and the people about the development of science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation; promoting digital transformation and the application of science, technology, and innovation in the activities of the Fatherland Front system in the province; and enhancing the role of the Fatherland Front in social supervision and criticism in implementing tasks related to breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation.

Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province, Le Thanh Trieu, requested that: Fatherland Front Committees at all levels should preside over and coordinate with member organizations to effectively implement emulation movements and campaigns to promote the spirit of solidarity and creativity among the people, mobilizing and encouraging all strata of the people to actively participate in creative labor emulation, seize opportunities, develop and boost production and business, and work together in solidarity to overcome difficulties and challenges to continue starting businesses, striving to become legitimately rich, helping each other to reduce poverty sustainably,... contributing to the Party committees and government in solving social issues and caring for the material and spiritual lives of the people.

Actively mobilize the people to participate in the emulation movement "Ca Mau joins hands to build new rural areas" in conjunction with the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas"; especially continue to effectively implement the movement "joining hands to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses" in the province.

The goal of each movement must be for the benefit of the people, creating motivation for all segments of the population to actively respond and participate in carrying out tasks related to socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security of the locality.

Mr. Le Thanh Trieu added: Besides that, it is important to effectively supervise and monitor emulation and reward activities at all levels, sectors, agencies, organizations, and units; pay attention to inspection, evaluation, preliminary and final summaries; proactively identify and replicate advanced models; and have many forms of timely commendation, honoring, and rewarding good people, good deeds, and outstanding collectives and individuals in emulation movements, creating a widespread impact among all strata of the people.

Mr. Le Thanh Trieu emphasized: The Vietnam Fatherland Front of Ca Mau province believes that the emulation movement "Striving to achieve a growth target of 8% or more for Ca Mau province in 2025" will be a new impetus for the strong development of emulation movements, creating widespread impact throughout the province.

The Vietnam Fatherland Front will effectively fulfill its leading role as the central hub for unity, coordination, and unified action with all levels, sectors, and strata of the people in the province, actively responding and making important contributions to the successful achievement of the province's set goals.
