| A criminal trial involves the participation of a lawyer. |
Currently, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Bar Association has 72 lawyers and 19 law firms. Since the beginning of the year, the legal team in Thai Nguyen province has participated in approximately 200 cases of various types, including over 80 criminal and civil cases, and hundreds of cases involving legal advice on marriage and family, business and commerce, and labor. This figure demonstrates the increasing demand for legal assistance in society.
In the economic sector, the presence of lawyers is becoming increasingly prominent. Currently, law firms in the province have undertaken numerous consulting contracts for businesses. Beyond participating in litigation, lawyers also act as partners with businesses on their path to development.
In the context of international integration and increasingly fierce competition, lawyers assist businesses in drafting and reviewing contracts, and provide legal advice on investment, trade, labor, intellectual property, and more. Through this, businesses can not only avoid legal risks but also seize opportunities for sustainable development.
In addition to their professional activities, many lawyers also participate in free legal aid programs for the poor and those eligible for social welfare programs. In 2024 and the first nine months of 2025, the Thai Nguyen Provincial Bar Association, in coordination with the Department of Justice, organized over 30 legal counseling sessions for people in ethnic minority areas and students in the province.
Lawyer Nguyen Thi Thanh Nghia, Head of the Thai Nguyen Provincial Bar Association, shared: "In addition to our professional work, members of our Bar Association also participate in legal aid activities, provide free consultations, and disseminate legal education to the people. When people understand the law, they will know how to protect their own rights and avoid violating the law. This contributes to building a just and orderly society."
It can be affirmed that the legal profession is an important part of the judicial support system, actively contributing to the process of building a socialist rule of law state. Lawyers not only directly protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens and organizations in cases and lawsuits, but also play a role in advising and accompanying people and businesses in many areas of life.
Mr. Tran Viet Dung, Deputy Director of the Thai Nguyen Department of Justice, assessed: The development of the current legal profession has created a bridge bringing the law closer to society, raising awareness of legal compliance, and reducing disputes and legal risks. The role, responsibility, and prestige of lawyers are increasingly affirmed, contributing significantly to the sustainable development of society.
Lawyers are not only "guardians of justice" in legal cases, but also crucial bridges connecting citizens, businesses, and society to and compliance with the law. The presence and contributions of lawyers have helped protect the legitimate rights and interests of citizens, promote transparency and fairness in social life, and enhance the awareness of the rule of law within the community.
