Apartment buildings have changed the appearance of the locality, especially the three cities (Vung Tau, Ba Ria and Phu My), contributing to urban beautification, solving housing needs and improving the quality of life of the people.

Mr. Khai Quoc Binh, Deputy Director of the Department of Construction, said that the development of high-rise apartment buildings not only saves land funds which are increasingly limited due to the rapid population growth rate, but also contributes to creating spacious urban architecture and landscape, a green, clean environment, and a civilized and modern lifestyle for urban residents.

In Decision No. 04/2016/QD-UBND on the Housing Development Program to 2020 and orientation to 2030, the Provincial People's Committee identified goals and proposed a plan to strive to promote the development of high-rise apartment buildings in the urban areas of Vung Tau, Ba Ria and Phu My.

The province strives to increase the rate of solid housing to 90%; of which, urban areas reach 92%, rural areas reach 87%, and prevent the emergence of simple housing, especially in urban areas. It is expected that by 2030, commercial housing projects and urban areas will be developed with about 3 million square meters of floor space, equivalent to about 17,400 apartments; and about 640,000 square meters of floor space, equivalent to 8,300 social housing apartments.
