On the afternoon of November 14, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Y, Head of the Department of Education and Training of Thuong Tin district ( Hanoi ) said that as soon as receiving information that a 6th grade female student at Tan Minh Secondary School was beaten by a group of friends, the unit went to the school to investigate.
"The Department of Education and Training has reminded and criticized the board of directors of Tan Minh Secondary School for being slow in reporting and informing in order to have timely direction and handling of the incident," Mr. Y shared.
The representative of the Department of Education and Training of Thuong Tin district also said that the incident was relatively clear, but it was very difficult to handle the students who violated the rules. The students who violated the rules were all minors, and their awareness and ability to take responsibility for their wrongdoings were not high. For now, Tan Minh Secondary School has immediately established a disciplinary council, temporarily suspending the students who violated the rules for 1 week to monitor and remind them.
The Department also requested the school to pay attention, visit, encourage, and stabilize the spirit of the female student who was assaulted so that she can return to school soon.
At the same time, the Department of Education and Training of Thuong Tin recommends that schools in the area increase propaganda and remind students to avoid unfortunate incidents related to school violence.

On November 12, social media was abuzz with a clip of a female student being abused by a group of friends on school grounds. In the clip, a female student is seen sitting in the hallway surrounded by a group of friends. Then another female student appears and repeatedly kicks the abused female student in the head.
The victim held her head, cried and continuously called for help, calling for her mother. However, the female student in white continued to assault and stomp on her head, step on her back, and even had a broom swept over her head. It is worth mentioning that when the incident happened, many students around witnessed it but ignored it, many even cheered, encouraged, and teased the victim who was beaten.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Pon, Principal of Tan Minh Secondary School, informed that the incident happened on the afternoon of Friday, November 10, after school hours.
After class ended, students stayed behind to prepare for the class competition. At this time, teachers and students from other classes had also left.
During the cleaning duty, a group of students had a conflict that led to violent behavior. Initial investigation revealed that the female student who was beaten was in 6th grade. The two female students who beat their friend included one student in the school and the other student who graduated last year.
After discovering the incident, the school and the family took the beaten student to the hospital. Currently, the female student's health is stable. Tan Minh Secondary School has coordinated with the police to investigate and clarify the incident.
The female student who was assaulted has been discharged from the hospital, and the school has created conditions for her to rest at home so that her family can monitor and support her. The student who beat her friend is also temporarily absent from school while the incident is investigated and clarified. The remaining female students outside the school are not under the school's management, so they will be handed over to the police and local authorities for monitoring and handling.
