Approved investment in 2 transport projects in July 2024

Updating the progress of investment preparation for public investment projects in the 2021 - 2025 period, the Department of Construction Investment Management ( Ministry of Transport ) said that as of early July 2024, 59/60 projects had been approved in principle.

The Ministry of Transport is directing investors to thoroughly prepare for investment in projects using public investment capital for the 2021-2025 period (Illustration photo).

The remaining unapproved project is the project to upgrade and renovate 3 national highways (53, 62, Nam Song Hau) in the Mekong Delta, using WB loans. It is expected that the approval of this project will be implemented in July 2024.

Regarding investment project approval, 57/59 projects have been approved.

The two unapproved projects are the Quy Nhon channel renovation and upgrade project for 50,000DWT ships and the Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressway project.

For projects using capital from increased revenue and regular expenditure savings from the central budget in 2022, up to now, 6/6 projects have had their investment policies approved, and 5/6 projects have had their investment projects approved.

The remaining project is the project to upgrade National Highway 24B through Quang Ngai .

"Based on the established plan, the Ministry of Transport has directed investors/project management boards to proactively coordinate closely with ministries, branches, localities and relevant units, simultaneously deploy procedures, speed up the progress of approving investment policies and approving projects to meet the required progress.

In July 2024, investment approval for 2 projects will be completed: Dau Giay - Tan Phu Expressway; Upgrading National Highway 24B through Quang Ngai.

In the third quarter of 2024, the investment approval for the Quy Nhon channel renovation and upgrade project for 50,000DWT ships will be completed," the Department of Construction Investment Management informed.
