This event is not only large in scale, worthy of the 80th anniversary of National Day September 2, but also affirms the determination of the Party and State in making infrastructure a pillar to accelerate growth in the new period.
In the list of projects that were started and inaugurated this time, the transport sector continues to dominate with 59 works and projects, demonstrating the priority of investment in developing transport infrastructure.
Some outstanding projects in the North include: Gia Binh International Airport ( Bac Ninh ) with a total investment of over 120,000 billion VND; Ring Road 4 of the capital region with a total investment of over 56,000 billion VND.
In the Central and Southern regions, 6 component projects of the North-South Expressway Project in the East have completed the main route, opened Rach Mieu 2 Bridge; started construction of a series of strategic traffic routes such as: Gia Nghia - Chon Thanh, Dau Giay - Tan Phu expressways, expanding Ho Chi Minh City - Long Thanh expressway, expanding Ca Mau airport...
All of these projects have created an unprecedented, seamless North-South, East-West connection network, linking new spaces, turning old administrative boundaries into unified development axes. As assessed by Deputy Minister of Construction Le Anh Tuan, the simultaneous implementation of many large projects this time not only simply solves travel needs, but also plays a fundamental role in the process of unifying management, allocating resources and exploiting the potential of each region, so that nothing hinders the flow of goods, labor and services between localities, reducing logistics costs and creating new competitive advantages.
Continuously updated information from localities about the preparation for the groundbreaking and inauguration ceremony of 250 projects on August 19 also shows that this event is awaited not only because of the number of projects and the huge investment capital, but also because it creates an extremely strong resonance effect, sending a clear message about the determination to improve infrastructure, unlock development potential and strengthen confidence in growth prospects for each citizen. Because of the people's trust, the pressure on the Government, ministries, and localities in the coming time will be greater than ever, with the question of how to make the projects that are started and inaugurated on these historic days truly effective, become the driving force for national development, creating momentum for the country to enter a new era.
Learning from the experience of many projects that were inaugurated with great fanfare but then operated sluggishly, quickly deteriorated, or even abandoned, causing public outrage, projects after completion must be managed, operated, and exploited effectively. With projects that have started construction, the governing bodies, investors, and contractors should closely monitor, ensure the progress and quality of the project, and be transparent in management, avoiding capital overruns and time delays that reduce investment efficiency.
The joy of the groundbreaking and inauguration day is easy to see, but the satisfaction of the people during the enjoyment process is what we really expect, and that is also the most honest measure of the value and effectiveness of every project.
