SKĐS - The Vietnamese stock market (VN-Index) recorded a trading volume of just over 19,000 billion VND on May 28th, while selling pressure was widespread.

At the close of trading on May 28, the VN-Index stood at 1,863.67 points, down 10.76 points (0.57%) from the opening.

Conversely, the HN-Index rose by 1.18%, while the Up-Index and VN30 fell by -0.37% and 1.12%, respectively.

Red dominated right after the opening bell, and the session ended with 217 declining stocks and 89 rising stocks on the HSX exchange.

Large-cap stocks that negatively impacted the market included VCB (-2.18%), BID (-1.85%),FPT (-1.31%), CTG (-1.41%), etc. Conversely, VHM shares rose to their maximum limit, helping to prevent the VN-Index from falling too sharply, followed by VNM (+0.34%), VPL (+0.11%), BSR (+0.85%), etc.

Liquidity in the May 28th trading session continued to decline sharply, reaching only over 19,500 billion VND on the HSX exchange, over 900 billion VND on the HNX exchange, and 446 billion VND on UpCom. The total market liquidity value reached only over 20,400 billion VND, a significant decrease compared to the over 25,000 billion VND of the previous session.

Foreign investors continued to net sell on the VN-Index with a selling intensity of over 586 billion VND. The focus of net selling by foreign investors was concentrated in HDB (-119.71 billion VND), FPT (-72.14 billion VND),SHB (-66.68 billion VND)...

Conversely, foreign investors net boughtACB shares worth over 108 billion VND, followed by VNM at 68.41 billion VND, MWG at 50.42 billion VND, LPB at 27.37 billion VND, and so on.

Prior to the trading session, Yuanta Vietnam stated that, although the recovery scenario remains intact, the index is showing signs of weakening, a signal that needs further monitoring in the next session. Therefore, investors may refrain from buying shares to observe market developments further. Simultaneously, investors can restructure their portfolios during upward market movements.
