Speaking at the meeting, the Provincial Party Secretary and Head of the Steering Committee emphasized that the rearrangement of administrative units is not simply a matter of organizational structure, but more importantly, how to make the government model after the rearrangement operate effectively, be close to the people, and best serve the people and businesses. Therefore, the implementation process needs to carefully review the reality of each locality, assess the objective and multi-dimensional impacts; develop a reasonable rearrangement plan that does not cause major disruption to people's lives; ensure the effective arrangement and assignment of cadres, civil servants, and public employees, the right people, the right jobs, and promote propaganda work to create consensus among cadres, party members, and people, so that the implementation process takes place smoothly and achieves the highest results.
According to the Department of Home Affairs, on March 14, 2025, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee issued a Decision on the consolidation of the Steering Committee for the arrangement and reorganization of administrative units at district and commune levels in Quang Binh province, consisting of 26 members, headed by Comrade Le Ngoc Quang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee.
Also according to the report of the Department of Home Affairs, Quang Binh has 08 district-level administrative units, the total number of commune-level administrative units is 145 units. As of March 1, 2025, after the arrangement, district-level specialized agencies have 81 specialized agencies; 550 public service units; 2,899 commune-level officials and civil servants under the management of the government.
