On the Ho Chi Minh City Stock Exchange, after opening, the market was red. However, a few minutes later, the green returned, at one point the VN-Index was 18 points higher than the reference level.
From 11am, selling pressure began to increase, pushing the floor's representative index to the reference level and then showing red. At the end of the morning trading session, VN-Index stopped at 1,490.29 points, down 3.12 points.

In the afternoon session, the market initially continued to decline, but from nearly 2:00 p.m., the VN-Index turned green and increased well towards the end of the session thanks to good demand.
Closing the market, VN-Index reached 1,507.63 points, up 14.22 points (0.95%); VN30-Index stopped at 1,630.78 points, up 9.49 points (0.59%).
Increasing stocks dominated with 223 stocks going up and 111 stocks going down. In the VN30 group, the number of increasing stocks was more than twice as many as decreasing stocks (20 stocks and 9 stocks).
The industry groups that increased points dominated. Notable developments were the securities and banking sectors attracting cash flow.
In the securities group, some codes increased to the ceiling such as VIX, SHS, APS, VFS. In the banking group, most codes are in green, in which SHB and VPB increased to the maximum limit.
With the advantage of large capitalization, banking stocks strongly supported the market. Of the 10 stocks that contributed the most to the VN-Index, 7 were in this group. Of which, VPB and CTG contributed more than 3 points each.
The pillar stocks group did not do really well when VIC and VHM took away more than 3 points and nearly 0.6 points respectively.
Liquidity reached a high level of nearly 42,000 billion VND. Leading the way was SHB with approximately 2,280 billion VND transferred; followed by SSI (over 2,000 billion VND), VIX (1,800 billion VND), VPB (over 1,700 billion VND)...
Foreign investors bought strongly. This group bought more than 5,509 billion VND and sold nearly 3,990 billion VND.
On the Hanoi Stock Exchange, the HNX-Index increased by 6.15 points (2.41%) to 261.51 points; the HNX30-Index stopped at 565.6 points after gaining 16.59 points (3.02%). The entire exchange had more than VND3,800 billion changed hands.
