According to the announcement, on October 25, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the regular weekly meeting. Concluding the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Khac Toan requested the Provincial People's Committee to direct the Nha Trang City People's Committee and relevant agencies and units to regularly inspect, rectify and strictly handle the establishment of illegal parking lots and the situation of dumping waste on rivers causing environmental pollution in Phuoc Dong commune as reported by Khanh Hoa Newspaper. At the same time, there should be plans and effective solutions to completely resolve the situation of dumping waste and illegal aquaculture causing environmental pollution in rivers in Nha Trang City (Tac River, Quan Truong River, etc.), in order to ensure law enforcement in the context of urban development.
Previously, on October 23, Khanh Hoa Newspaper published an article: “Phuoc Dong Commune: There is a situation of dumping rubble encroaching on the river, setting up illegal parking lots”, reflecting that in the Hon Ro 2 area (near the Provincial Political School and Nha Trang College of Technology, in Phuoc Dong Commune), an illegal parking lot appeared and there was a situation of dumping rubble encroaching on the Tac River. The prolonged situation, not being thoroughly handled, has made people in the area angry.
