Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee Deputy Secretary Luu Van Trung visited and presented gifts to meritorious people in Thuan Hanh commune

On the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2025), on the afternoon of July 26, the Lam Dong Provincial Delegation led by Comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, visited and presented gifts to Mr. Vu Cong Tuyen, a revolutionary contributor in Thuan Tan village, Thuan Hanh commune (Lam Dong).

Mr. Vu Cong Tuyen, born in 1939, directly participated in the fight on the Kon Tum battlefield during the resistance war against the US to save the country. He is currently a victim of chemical poisoning, with 81% disability.

His family has 5 children, one of whom has chemical poisoning and is born deaf and mute.

Comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of Lam Dong Provincial Party Committee, kindly inquired about the health of Mr. Vu Cong Tuyen.

Comrade Luu Van Trung kindly asked about Mr. Tuyen's health and daily life and shared the losses that he and his family had experienced.

On behalf of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, comrade Luu Van Trung, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, wished Mr. Vu Cong Tuyen good health and a shining example for his descendants to follow.

He affirmed that the Party Committee, government and people of Lam Dong always remember and deeply appreciate the great contributions and sacrifices of previous generations.

Visiting families with meritorious services to the revolution is an annual activity, demonstrating the morality of "repaying the nation's gratitude".

Every July, the province organizes activities to show gratitude and visit families of war invalids, martyrs, and those who have contributed to the revolution to continue the morality of "repaying gratitude", a precious tradition of the nation.
