Dissemination of law to special subjects in U Minh commune

To disseminate and educate the law to specific subjects according to the provisions of the Law on Dissemination and Education of Law 2012, on September 9, 2025, the Department of Justice of Ca Mau province coordinated with the Provincial Police and the People's Committee of U Minh commune to organize a conference to disseminate the law on preventing and combating violence against children and preventing and combating fraud in cyberspace.

Attending the conference, nearly 100 delegates were Legal Propagandists; Heads of People's Committees, Heads of Front Committees, Heads of Associations of hamlets and ethnic minorities in U Minh commune. At the conference, delegates were informed by provincial legal reporters about legal regulations on preventing and combating violence against children and preventing and combating fraud in cyberspace.

Deploying the topic "Prevention and combat of fraud in cyberspace", at the conference, Lieutenant Colonel Hoang Ngoc Dao, Head of the Department of Cyber ​​Security, Prevention of High-Tech Crime, Ca Mau Provincial Police - Provincial Legal Reporter, introduced to delegates the situation of fraud crimes in cyberspace in the province, skills to recognize, detect, handle, prevent and protect against fraud situations in cyberspace. Through that, it helped delegates improve their understanding, proactively take measures, skills and actions to prevent and protect themselves from fraud and property appropriation via the internet and digital platforms.

With the development of digital technology platforms today, the prevention and combat of child violence in cyberspace is of great significance in protecting the physical and mental safety of children, preventing serious consequences later, helping children develop healthily in the digital age and contributing to building a more civilized and safe society. In this topic, Ms. Hua Thi Nguyen, Deputy Head of the Department of Dissemination and Legal Education, Department of Justice - Legal Reporter of Ca Mau province, presented to delegates some general issues about children, measures to prevent cyber violence, legal regulations on child protection in cyberspace, and responsibilities to protect children in the cyber environment.

Recently, crimes on the internet environment such as online fraud and cyber violence have been happening more and more. These crimes are not only related to national security and social order and safety, but also directly affect the lives, economy, and legitimate rights of individuals and organizations. Preventing and combating cyber crimes today plays a very important role because it helps prevent fraudulent acts of appropriating assets online, stealing personal data, bank accounts, e-wallets, and acts of cyber violence; helps protect the privacy, honor, and dignity of citizens against the spread of fake information, slander, and defamation on cyberspace. Therefore, equipping people with relevant legal knowledge for self-prevention and self-defense is extremely important.

The 2012 Law on Dissemination and Education of Law stipulates the legal contents directly related to the subjects of dissemination and education of law; forms of dissemination and education of law suitable for each group of subjects; responsibilities of agencies, organizations and individuals in disseminating and educating the law for specific subjects. Accordingly, the dissemination and education of law on preventing and combating violence against children and preventing and combating fraud in cyberspace is very important in the current period, aiming to enhance people's ability to access the law and raise awareness of the community, especially parents, about acts of violence and fraud, while equipping them with knowledge and skills to recognize, prevent and deal with acts of fraud and violence in the internet environment, contributing to building a safe, healthy and civilized network environment./.
