Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan: Patriotic emulation creates momentum for sustainable development

Attending the Congress were Vice President , First Vice President of the Central Emulation and Reward Council Vo Thi Anh Xuan; representatives of Central Committees, ministries, units in the Emulation Cluster of the Central and Central Highlands regions, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, Heroes of the People's Armed Forces and 345 outstanding delegates representing 100 outstanding advanced models.

Speaking at the Congress, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan acknowledged and commended the efforts, initiatives, and outstanding achievements of typical collectives and individuals. The Vice President emphasized that Ha Tinh 's comprehensive achievements in recent times have had great contributions from emulation and commendation work, with movements being implemented synchronously, creatively, and in accordance with local characteristics. Many movements have spread widely in social life, typically the "Building new rural areas" movement with outstanding results, the appearance of the countryside has changed significantly, infrastructure has been invested synchronously, and people's lives have been improved. To date, Ha Tinh has completed 8/8 new rural tasks, with nearly 300 OCOP products recognized.

The movements "For the poor - No one left behind", "The whole country joins hands to eliminate temporary houses and dilapidated houses" were deployed with the spirit and command from the heart, mobilizing the entire political system, the business community, and the people, helping thousands of poor households have new houses and strive to stabilize their lives. Emulation movements in the fields of health, education, culture, digital transformation, renewable energy, national defense and security have all achieved many positive results, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the political system and the people.

Ha Tinh is a bright spot in the peak emulation campaign "500 days and nights to complete 3,000 km of highways", starting many key industrial, energy and infrastructure projects. The movements "Ha Tinh joins hands to build new rural areas", "Eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses", "For the poor - No one is left behind" have achieved many outstanding results. The province has 100% of wards, towns and 3 cities and towns meeting civilized urban standards. The poverty rate has decreased to about 1.9%, an average decrease of 0.65%/year; 2,281 houses have been completed in the movement to eliminate temporary houses, exceeding the progress assigned by the Central Government. The movements "Emulation to win", "For national security" associated with patriotic emulation have contributed to maintaining political stability, ensuring security and order, creating a favorable environment for economic development.

Ha Tinh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Lam said that in the coming time, the province will continue to promote the tradition of patriotic emulation following the call of President Ho Chi Minh, contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development tasks. Ha Tinh aims to promote the development of industry, agriculture and services; build a synchronous and modern infrastructure system; adapt to climate change, protect the environment; comprehensively develop culture and society; ensure national defense and security; improve people's material and spiritual life and health. In the coming period, the province will implement the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Discipline - Breakthrough - Development", striving to comprehensively complete development goals, build a clean and strong Party and political system.

Deeply imbued with the teachings of President Ho Chi Minh "Emulation is patriotism, patriotism requires emulation and those who emulate are the most patriotic", in the period of 2021-2025, despite many difficulties and challenges, Ha Tinh has had a strong and comprehensive breakthrough. The province identified the patriotic emulation movement as not only a task but also a key solution to maximize endogenous strength, arouse the will of self-reliance and self-reliance, bring about rapid socio-economic recovery and sustainable growth. Emulation movements were deployed extensively, synchronously and effectively, contributing significantly to the successful implementation of the province's socio-economic development goals; the economic growth rate reached an average of 6.4%/year, the economic scale increased by 1.5 times; GRDP per capita reached 94 million VND.

The above achievements are the result of the efforts and creative labor of the entire Party, government, armed forces, business community and people of the whole province. The spirit of patriotic emulation is the guiding principle, the strongest driving force, affirming the new position of Ha Tinh, firmly moving towards higher goals and a sustainable development future.

The Congress launched a patriotic emulation movement from now until 2030 with the theme: "Solidarity, innovation, determination to build Ha Tinh province to develop rapidly and sustainably in the direction of modern industry".

At the ceremony, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan presented 200 million VND from the Vietnam Children's Fund to Ha Tinh province; presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers and Heroes of the People's Armed Forces. The Vice President awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to individuals who have made great contributions to the province's development. The Congress honored 100 outstanding examples.
