Ready to go to the damaged area
Sharing with the people of the Central region affected by the storm and flood, the SOS Team Da Nang posted an appeal for financial support and donations to directly go to the heavily affected provinces of Ha Tinh and Nghe An to provide relief. The appeal quickly spread to the local community.
Many people in Da Nang, from the elderly to the young, did not hesitate to personally bring boxes of instant noodles, mineral water, warm blankets, and necessities to the gathering point, joining hands to contribute to the Da Nang SOS Team on the road.
The two receiving points located at 34 My An (Ngu Hanh Son ward) and 26 Ton Duc Thang (Thanh Khe ward) are always bustling with people coming in and out bringing support goods.
On the night of October 4, the SOS Team Da Nang urgently set off on a relief mission to help people in the Central region affected by natural disasters.

Mr. Dang Ngoc Tien (member of SOS Team Da Nang) shared: “Regardless of the dark night and the flooded roads, which made it very difficult to move, the team members quickly loaded the goods, checked the items, and set off in a spirit of urgency and timeliness. The journey not only brought hundreds of essential gifts, but also contained the full sentiments of Da Nang people to their compatriots in the flood-affected areas.”
The SOS Da Nang team was present in Tan Ky and Truong Tho communes ( Nghe An province), giving each commune 100 gifts and cash to support the most severely affected households.
In Lam Thanh and Duc Tho communes (Ha Tinh), the team also gave each commune 50 gifts and 500,000 VND in cash. Many other volunteer groups also actively supported the SOS Da Nang Team.
Mr. Nguyen Minh Tuan, Head of the Hoa Tu Bi Volunteer Group (Da Nang), was busy with personal work and could not go directly to the Central region for rescue, but he called for tons of necessities to send to the Da Nang SOS Team to deliver to the people.
Mr. Tuan's companionship contributed significantly to the common resources, helping the SOS Team Da Nang have the necessary resources to promptly deliver to the people.
Action for the sake of compatriots
With the spirit of "Helping each other", the charity group I love the highlands, led by Mr. Huynh Ba Dien, launched a campaign to call for the cooperation of philanthropists to provide timely relief to people in flood-affected areas.

The appeal posts on Mr. Huynh Ba Dien's personal Facebook page have received hundreds of shares and comments, expressing deep sympathy from the online community.
Mr. Dien emotionally shared: “We know that we cannot do anything too great, but with the contribution of the community, each person doing a little, we will create a strong resource to help people in flood-affected areas overcome this difficult period.”
The relief trip to Nghe An initiated by Mr. Dien's group is being urgently prepared. All donated items will be fully gathered and carefully classified to be delivered directly to the people in the damaged areas.
It is expected that the I Love Highlands Volunteer Group will give away 500 boxes of instant noodles, 500 bags of rice, 1,000 life jackets, 500 packages of dry food, clothes, warm blankets and other essential necessities.
Up to now, the program is still continuing to receive contributions from individuals and organizations with all their hearts towards the Central region.
Mr. Huynh Ba Dien said, with the principle of clear appeal, the volunteer group will balance and give out as much as they can, transparently, directly, and practically.
The group's departure time is Friday evening, October 10. Members participating in the trip will cover their own travel and accommodation expenses to ensure that all donated resources are focused on relief activities.
“The volunteers in the group understand that, in times of trouble, people in disaster-affected areas are in dire need of timely care and sharing. Each gift is a heart, we will try to bring that love to the right place, right time,” said Mr. Dien.
At Tay Giang High School, the flag-raising ceremony last Monday morning became especially meaningful when Ms. Aral Mai Tinh, Party Cell Secretary, School Principal, along with teachers and all students joined hands to donate to support the people of Central Vietnam.
Each gift, though small, is a heart of sharing, giving strength to people to overcome difficulties caused by natural disasters.
Ms. Aral Mai Tinh emotionally shared: "The donated money is the sharing of the students in the Tay Giang mountainous area with the spirit of "a piece of food when hungry is worth a package when full", adding faith and warmth to the people in the flood areas".
In addition, many organizations such as the Hand in Hand Vietnam - Korea Volunteer Group, Dien Ban Volunteer Association, and Nhan Ai Club have also joined hands to contribute, send love and share with the people of Central Vietnam.
Relief activities do not only stop at material things but also spread humanistic values and deep solidarity between regions, clearly demonstrating the tradition of mutual love and support of the affectionate people of Da Nang.
