On the afternoon of April 11, Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Dao Quang Khai received and worked with the delegation of Bonghwa district, Gyeongsangbuk province, South Korea, led by Mr. Park Hyun Gook, Chairman of Bonghwa district, to pay a courtesy visit; discuss cooperation and support, and promote the implementation of the "Vietnam Village Project" in Bonghwa district.
Overview of the work program
Bonghwa County is the only area in Korea that still retains traces of the Ly Dynasty's descendants and is also home to the descendants of Prince Ly Long Tuong. Currently, the county is implementing the construction of the Vietnam Village Project in Bonghwa County with an area of nearly 120,000 m2 with the goal of restoring and developing the historical and cultural values of Vietnam as well as Korea.

Welcoming the delegation of Bonghwa district to visit and work with the province, especially on the occasion of the Do Temple Festival, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Dao Quang Khai highly appreciated the idea of building the Vietnam Village Project in Bonghwa district, affirming that Bac Ninh province will support the two localities in implementing information exchange activities to promote unique cultural values, heritages and create conditions to promote people-to-people diplomacy activities to enhance mutual understanding as a premise for implementing cooperation activities in various fields; at the same time, hoping that Bonghwa district authorities will pay attention to supporting the Bac Ninh community living in the district with specific and practical actions. Tu Son city will coordinate with the provincial departments and branches to support the construction of a bronze statue of King Ly Thai To at Chunghyo Park; at the same time, display typical products of Tu Son city in particular and Bac Ninh province in general at the park to ensure uniqueness and impression.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Park Hyun Gook thanked the provincial leaders for taking the time to welcome them, and hoped that the leaders of Bac Ninh province would continue to pay attention and support the implementation of the Vietnam Village Project as well as create conditions to promote the brotherhood relationship between Tu Son city and Bonghwa district to develop further.
