On the afternoon of July 15, Mr. Nguyen Truc Son - Vice Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee came to inspect and work on the construction progress, resolve difficulties and problems of the Ben Tre Provincial General Hospital project.

Also attending were leaders of relevant departments and branches, Vinh Long Province Civil and Industrial Project Management Board, Nguyen Dinh Chieu Hospital and the construction unit - Handong Engineering and Construction Joint Stock Company.
The Ben Tre General Hospital Project has a total investment of 1,658 billion VND, of which ODA loan from the Korean Government is more than 1,331 billion VND. The project is built on an area of 9.7 hectares in Binh Phu commune, old Ben Tre city with a scale of 500 hospital beds, modern medical equipment, and a total floor area of more than 41,000m².

The project is currently being constructed by Handong contractor under a contract worth VND879 billion. The construction period is 18 months from the start date of December 28, 2024, and is expected to be completed on June 26, 2026. In addition, a medical equipment procurement package worth nearly VND396 billion is also being reviewed and prepared for implementation.
