Math caused a surprise with 513 scores of 10. Meanwhile, English had 141 candidates achieving perfect scores, with an average score of 5.38, a slight decrease compared to last year even though fewer candidates registered for the exam.

Formula for calculating high school graduation scores in 2025
The high school graduation exam took place on June 26-27 with more than 1.16 million candidates. Of these, nearly 1.14 million candidates took the exam under the new general education program (2018) and more than 26,700 under the old program (2006).
The group following the new program will take two compulsory subjects: Literature and Mathematics, and two elective subjects from the following subjects: Chemistry, Physics, Biology, History, Geography, Economic and Legal Education, Information Technology, Agricultural Technology, Industrial Technology, Foreign Languages (7 languages). After knowing the score, candidates have 10 days to submit a request for review if they want, the deadline is July 25. Candidates will receive the exam result certificate, temporary graduation certificate, high school transcript, no later than July 22.
The time to register, adjust and add university admission wishes is from July 16 to 5:00 p.m. on July 28, with no limit on the number of times. Candidates pay the admission fee online from July 29 to 5:00 p.m. on August 5.
Before registering their wishes, candidates can access VnExpress 's University Lookup page to see the fluctuation of benchmark scores over the years by major, school or tuition fee. The system also suggests groups of majors and schools that last year had benchmark scores close to the level candidates achieved in each combination.
University admission scores for 2025 will be announced before 5:00 p.m. on August 22.
