For many days now, customers have been coming to the Pho Le restaurant, which has been famous for more than half a century in Ho Chi Minh City (on Nguyen Trai Street, District 5), only to find the restaurant closed.

Mr. Chan Hung (32 years old) said that this is a familiar pho restaurant for him and his family. It has been a long time since he visited the restaurant on Nguyen Trai Street (District 5), so on the afternoon of June 11, he and his wife came to enjoy it after reading the news that the restaurant had just been honored by Michelin Guide for 3 consecutive years.
After reading the notice posted in front of the restaurant: "The restaurant is temporarily closed for 2 weeks for repairs", Mr. Hung had to find another restaurant to eat at. He said he would come back when the restaurant reopens.

Sharing with Thanh Nien , Mr. Hung, representative of Pho Le restaurant, said that from June 10, the restaurant in District 5 will temporarily close for repairs, creating a new space to better serve customers. He regrets that the service to customers will be interrupted for the expected 2 weeks.

However, Mr. Hung also announced good news, when Pho Le restaurant at the Vo Van Tan branch (District 3) after nearly 5 years of closure since the Covid-19 pandemic is preparing to reopen.
"I plan to open on June 14 or June 16, but the time has not been finalized yet, it depends on the actual situation. I hope customers will support the return of this branch," he shared.
Talking about the restaurant being named in the Michelin Guide's "good, affordable restaurant" category for 3 consecutive years, the restaurant expressed that this is both a joy and a source of pride.
Pho Le restaurant opened in 1970, the menu includes main dishes such as rare beef, tendon, brisket, flank, beef balls, beef shank with current prices from 80,000 - 100,000 VND/bowl. The first branch of Pho Le restaurant is located on Nguyen Trai street, an area where many ethnic Chinese people live.
The owner of Pho Le is Mr. Luu Toan Tai, a native of Guangdong, and his wife, Le, is a Vietnamese of Cambodian royal descent. Pho Le attracts many people with its rich, southern flavor.
Pho Le is considered attractive because of its soft and smooth noodles, sweet and creamy broth, and characteristically soft and sweet meat. In addition, the restaurant prepares many side dishes such as vegetables, bean sprouts, etc., attracting many diners.
