Deputy Prime Minister Le Thanh Long inspects preparations for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Hai Phong City

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee, Head of the Steering Committee for the Hai Phong City Examination, Hoang Minh Cuong, said: This year, Hai Phong City has 29,227 candidates registered for the high school graduation exam; of which, more than 28,910 candidates took the exam under the 2018 GeneralEducation Program and over 317 candidates took the exam under the 2006 General Education Program. The city organized 49 exam sites, including 48 exam sites for candidates under the 2018 General Education Program and 1 exam site for candidates under the 2006 General Education Program. More than 5,426 officials and teachers were mobilized to invigilate the exam.

Realizing that this is an exam with many new points (concurrently testing two general education programs, changing the method and time frame of the exam...), the City's Exam Steering Committee has directed the organization to disseminate and thoroughly understand the exam regulations early to educational institutions, teachers, students and parents; fully prepare conditions in terms of human resources, funding, facilities and equipment for the exam. At the same time, the city promotes the application of information technology in the organization, preventing high-tech cheating; strengthens inspection, examination and close supervision of all stages in accordance with regulations.

Hai Phong City has reviewed cases of candidates needing special support and arranged separate examination rooms for them; forecasted and prepared response plans for possible scenarios.

Director of the Department of Education and Training of Hai Phong City Bui Van Kiem added that by the afternoon of June 25, 6 teams transporting exam papers had completed the handover of exam papers to 49 exam locations. Candidates were present at the exam locations to check information and listen to the regulations in accordance with regulations. The city has completed the review of cases of candidates needing special support, and arranged appropriate separate exam rooms. Forecasting and preparing response plans for situations that may arise during the organization of the exam have also been carefully developed, ready to be deployed when necessary.

Appreciating the preparations for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam in Hai Phong City, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized that the conversion of the local government model from three levels to two levels is a major change, requiring the development of specific scenarios, detailed operating programs and anticipation of situations that may arise during the implementation process.

In addition to careful preparation for the exam, the Deputy Prime Minister requested that the city pay special attention to clearly assigning people, tasks and responsibilities, ensuring that no mistakes occur. In particular, the implementation stage plays a key role, must be coordinated smoothly and effectively, with the important principle being: "when needed, know who to call" - demonstrating a spirit of initiative, responsibility and readiness to coordinate in all situations./.
