Open road through the forest KfW6 - Sustainable Forest Restoration and Management Project

Previously, SGGP Online reported on the investigation into the deforestation to make way for the road. On May 30, information from the Duc Pho Town Forest Protection Department revealed that during the inspection, a case of deforestation of natural forests in Thanh Son village, Pho Cuong commune, was discovered to make way for the road.

Through inspection, the road is about 1km long with a total area of over 7,500m2 formed in the KfW6 forest - the Project for Sustainable Forest Restoration and Management funded by the German Government and implemented in Quang Ngai province - at lot 25, 26, compartment 8, sub-area 334, Pho Cuong commune without being licensed by the authorities. To have this road, the construction unit leveled and cut down hundreds of forest trees.

Previously, in sub-area 334, there were 9 households in Thanh Son village, Pho Cuong commune participating in the KfW6 project, which were granted red books by the People's Committee of Duc Pho town. Around 2016, this group of forest owners sold the entire area to Mr. NVB in Pho Khanh commune, Duc Pho town, and then he leased it to Deo Ca Group.
