Another fairy-tale moon season has come to children across the country, an occasion for them to freely play with friends and receive loving Mid-Autumn gifts. However, for disadvantaged children in Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province, specifically at Tan Phong and Dai Dien Primary Schools, Mid-Autumn Festival is no different from any other day.
These are two primary schools that were built with support from the government and philanthropists to help disadvantaged children in the area go to school.
During this year's Mid-Autumn Festival, students of the two schools had an early Mid-Autumn Festival with the program "Mid-Autumn Festival of Love 2023" jointly organized on September 17 by the Drip Care Fund of the Drip Hydration Vietnam Clinic and the Southern Office of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations .
Instead of organizing traditional lantern parades and mid-autumn festival parties, the program has different, more suitable and practical activities.
“ After the survey, the health level of the students was quite low, so the Drip Care fund of the Drip Hydration clinic decided to sponsor an on-site health check-up package and a gift package for disease prevention, increasing immunity, and at the same time awarding cash scholarships to students with excellent achievements at Tan Phong and Dai Dien schools ,” said Ms. Tra My, Head of Drip Hydration Vietnam Brand Department.

200 disadvantaged students with good academic performance received basic health check-ups by the Drip Hydration Vietnam clinic team, and received disease prevention and immunity-boosting gift packages. Drip Hydration Clinic also awarded 20 cash scholarships to 20 students with the best academic performance last year.
“ The students of the 2 primary schools participating in the gift giving and medical examination today are mostly from poor and near-poor households, including those in very difficult circumstances who have lost both parents and live with grandparents or guardians.
Therefore, when implementing the program, the Organizing Committee and the accompanying unit Drip Hydration urged to bring students a warm Mid-Autumn Festival with lanterns, gifts, cakes, and to have fun with friends like other children ", Ms. Tran Hoang Khanh Van - Deputy Head of the Southern Office of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations shared.

Although the program did not start until 9:00 a.m., teachers, parents and students were present at Tan Phong Primary School from 7:00 a.m. to greet the Drip Care doctors and visiting donors.
Sharing about the program, Ms. Huynh Thi Ngoc Loan - Principal of Tan Phong Primary School shared: " I can feel that today Mid-Autumn Festival has come early in Thanh Phu. The program is an opportunity for children to be examined and cared for, through which parents will know the health status of their children and have a direction to adjust and supplement nutrition for their children to be better day by day ."

During the process of giving gifts and providing health check-ups to students in Thanh Phu district, the volunteer group could not help but be moved by the extremely difficult circumstances. There were children sharing that it was the first time they had met a doctor in real life, or there were illiterate parents who did not know how to sign the form to fill out health check-up information for their children...
“ Many children suffer from malnutrition, chronic pharyngitis, anemia, iron deficiency, and tooth decay, but do not have the means to care for and treat them. Listening to the stories of the children, Van was moved and urged to bring more spiritual and material values to support them.
At the same time, I hope that the Drip Care Fund of Drip Hydration Clinic will have more meaningful health care activities like this for children in particular and the community in general ," shared Dr. Huyen Van, Drip Hydration Clinic Vietnam.
