The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced that to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of Southern Vietnam and the Reunification of the Country (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025), a special art program will be held on the evening of April 25th at the Central Park stage in the new city. The program promises to offer audiences spectacular and vibrant performances, featuring many famous artists and actors.
Accordingly, this program will feature musical and dance performances praising the heroic years of the Vietnamese people in general, and the army and people of Binh Duong in particular, during the resistance war against the US, the liberation of the homeland, and the liberation of the South and reunification of the country; the outstanding efforts of the officials and people of Binh Duong in building their homeland, steadily advancing on the path of integration and development, such as: Every Step We Take; Binh Duong Ablaze; The Storm Has Risen; Marching Towards Saigon; The Country Full of Joy (performed by singer Nguyen Phi Hung); The Song of Unification (performed by singer and Meritorious Artist Van Khanh); and The Fragrant Night of Song Be. In addition, the participation of singer Hoa Minzy in this program, with her performances of Thi Mau; Turning On Love; and Bac BLING, promises to bring a lively atmosphere, attracting a large audience.
Following this artistic performance is a low-altitude fireworks display, featuring 150 pyrotechnics, from 9 PM to 9:15 PM, in the New City Center area (Hung Vuong Street).
Meanwhile, the Thu Dau Mot City Cultural, Information and Sports Center also organized a series of cultural and artistic activities to serve the people during this period. These activities include: the Thu Dau Mot City 2025 Amateur Arts Competition, held on the evenings of April 23rd and 24th at Bach Dang pedestrian street (Phu Cuong ward). Also at this location, there will be two other cultural and artistic activities: the final round of the Bolero Singing Contest "Timeless Love Songs" (on the evening of April 26th) and a parade showcasing the strength and theatrical arts (on the evening of April 27th).
Meanwhile, at the Traditional House (Hung Vuong Street, Phu Cuong Ward, Thu Dau Mot City), there will be two main activities: organizing a traditional cultural space - displaying historical artifacts (from April 25 to 27) and art combined with 3D Mapping light shows (from the evening of April 20 to 30). These cultural and artistic activities concentrated in the central area of Thu Dau Mot City will provide opportunities for people to enjoy entertainment and appreciate the selected artistic performances from previous rounds of competitions in the wards of the city.
According to Ms. Trinh Ngoc Phuong, Deputy Director of the Culture, Information and Sports Center of Thu Dau Mot City, the singing contest with the theme "Timeless Love Songs" is a playground for contestants and audiences who love Bolero music with songs about love for the homeland and romantic relationships. This year, more than 200 contestants registered to participate. Outstanding singers will be selected to perform and receive awards at the final night on April 26th at Bach Dang pedestrian street.
