Overview of the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award Ceremony - Nghe An 2023.
In 2023, in response to the "Golden Hammer and Sickle" journalism competition on Party building launched by the Central Committee, and under the direction of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and the Head of the Steering Committee for the Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award of Nghe An province, the Provincial Journalists Association coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications to issue a document launching the competition and developing the rules, receiving a positive response from a large number of reporters, members, and media agencies operating in the province.
In addition to the three press agencies of Nghe An province, there were also 18 resident press agencies, 13 Culture - Sports and Communication centers in districts, cities, and towns, and 10 units outside the press agencies, as well as collaborators inside and outside the province, who submitted entries to the competition.

Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Provincial Party Committee, and Deputy Head of the Standing Steering Committee for the Golden Hammer and Sickle Award of Nghe An province.
According to Nguyen Thi Thu Huong, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the works generally reflected comprehensively, vividly, and multi-dimensionally the work of Party building, building the political system, and successfully implementing the policies and resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels in Nghe An in 2023.
Many works have been insightful, highlighting good deeds and exemplary cadres and Party members to spread and encourage the movement; at the same time, they reflect on existing problems and shortcomings, combat negative behaviors, corruption, and waste, contributing to the socio-economic development and ensuring national defense and security in the province.
A series of three feature articles titled "Affectionate Bonds on Old Land with New Homes" was published in the Life and Law magazine.
The Head of the Propaganda Department of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee affirmed that the annual Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award further reinforces the political and social significance of the award, affirming the profound political awareness, professional ethics, and unwavering loyalty of revolutionary journalists.
The award not only contributes to improving the quality of media coverage on the topic of Party building, but also connects and fosters the talent and dedication of journalists from central and local media outlets, including collaborators and amateur writers.
The judging panel of the Provincial Golden Hammer and Sickle Award, in a spirit of democracy, responsibility, honesty, and objectivity, unanimously selected 42 outstanding works to honor and award prizes, including 3 First Prizes; 8 Second Prizes; 13 Third Prizes; and 18 Consolation Prizes.
Reporter Nguyen Anh Ngoc received the Encouragement Award at the Golden Hammer and Sickle Awards - Nghe An 2023.
Among the winning entries, reporter Nguyen Anh Ngoc received an Encouragement Award for his series of three articles: "Affectionate bonds on old land with new houses".
This is a series of reports on the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee's campaign to support the construction of houses for the poor and those with housing difficulties in Nghe An province during the 2023-2025 period. The goal is that by the end of 2025, there will be virtually no poor households living in dilapidated, damaged, temporary, or unsafe houses at risk of collapse; instead, they will have houses that meet the "three solid" standards (solid foundation, solid frame/walls, solid roof).
In a short period of time, thousands of houses have been built and handed over to the people. Receiving these sturdy houses has been a great motivation for people to strive for economic development, stabilize their lives, and build better lives; to participate in ensuring security and order in the area, and protect the peace of their homeland in the mountainous and border regions.
