BHG - In recent times, Women's Unions at all levels in the province have successfully implemented the emulation movement "Building Ha Giang women in the new era: Actively studying, being dynamic, creative, preserving and promoting national cultural identity". The movement has become an important driving force, contributing to raising awareness, arousing the spirit of self-study, self-training, the desire to rise up and the responsibility to preserve traditional culture in each member.

The emulation movement launched by the Provincial Women's Union (VWU) in recent years has been widely deployed to 100% of the VWU's branches across the province, attracting tens of thousands of members to participate. The goal of the movement is not only to encourage women to study and work creatively, but also to preserve traditional cultural values, gradually building the image of Ha Giang women who are brave and modern while still imbued with national identity. Since the beginning of the year, more than 90,000 members and women have participated in learning activities, improving qualifications, life skills and starting a business; over 300 cultural clubs, folk arts, brocade weaving, Then singing, and Khen dancing have been organized at the grassroots level.

Many good and creative ways have been implemented to attract a large number of HVPNs to participate, such as: thematic activities, supporting livelihoods for poor women and women in difficult circumstances; organizing training courses on life skills, digital transformation, health care, childeducation , and environmental protection. Ms. Nguyen Thi Sinh, HVPN of Phong Quang commune (Vi Xuyen), thanks to participating in a digital transformation class, has helped her master the use of smartphones to sell agricultural products online. "I sell honey, dried beef, corn wine via Zalo and Facebook; I also earn a few million VND each month," Ms. Sinh shared.

Women's Unions at all levels have implemented many practical programs and projects to support members, especially ethnic minority women, in starting businesses, creating jobs and improving the quality of life. Since implementing the Project "Supporting Women to Start a Business" and the movement "Women Helping Each Other to Develop the Economy", the Provincial Women's Union has supported hundreds of women to access preferential capital from the Bank for Social Policies and credit institutions. In the past 5 years, the whole province has had more than 2,000 women's households escape poverty thanks to women's boldness in starting businesses and developing household economic models. In particular, Project 8 under the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minorities and Mountainous Areas for the 2021-2030 period, with propaganda activities, mobilizing women to change their thinking and ways of doing things, eliminating gender stereotypes, backward customs, promoting national cultural identity has improved their lives and promoted gender equality.

The Association at all levels encourages members to actively preserve and promote traditional cultural identity through festivals, cultural and artistic activities. Thereby, the image of Ha Giang women appears graceful and skillful: radiant in traditional costumes, talented in cooking, flexible when participating in folk games. Through many forms, women have contributed to preserving good cultural values, meeting spiritual needs and educating the younger generation to live beautifully, live responsibly, and absorb modern values in harmony with tradition. The clubs "Women with traditional culture", "Women preserving traditional costumes", "Clean kitchen, beautiful house" ... are increasingly effective in many communes, contributing to creating a civilized and unique new rural appearance.

The brocade weaving cooperative owned by Ms. Vu Thi Ha, HVPN of Van Chai B village, Van Chai commune (Dong Van) has become a typical model in combining economic development and preserving ethnic culture. With her skillful hands and passion for traditional craft, Ms. Ha not only helps many poor female members have stable jobs and increase their income, but also contributes to preserving and spreading the unique brocade beauty of the Mong people. Each product is not only a handicraft but also carries the cultural story and identity of the highland people, favored by customers inside and outside the province.

With a vibrant competitive spirit and practical work, Ha Giang women are increasingly demonstrating their role as a core force in building new rural areas, developing the socio-economy, preserving cultural identity and spreading the good values of Vietnamese women in the new era.
