Quang Truc Women - the backbone of patriotic emulation movements

On October 4, the Women's Union of Quang Truc commune (Lam Dong) held the 13th Congress of Women's Delegates of the commune, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending the Congress were comrade H'Vi E Ban, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Lam Dong Provincial Women's Union; commune leaders and 100 official delegates representing more than 1,700 women members in the commune.

During the 2021 - 2025 term, the Women's Union of Quang Truc commune has promoted its core role, completed and exceeded 8/8 targets of the Congress Resolution, making an important contribution to socio -economic development and maintaining local defense and security.

Poverty reduction work has achieved many outstanding results. In 2021, the whole commune had 1,375 poor households, accounting for 65.98% (of which 282 were headed by women). By the end of 2024, there were 624 households out of 2,929 households, accounting for 21.3%, of which the number of poor households headed by women decreased to 215, helping 67 households escape poverty sustainably.

The Association has developed 787 new members, bringing the total number to 1,705 members, an increase of 85.7% compared to the beginning of the term. The movement to build "5 no, 3 clean" families has been effectively implemented, with 17 households meeting all 8 criteria, maintaining 2 "5 no, 3 clean" groups with 27 members.

Social security activities were focused on through the model “Love Rice Jar” collecting 580 kg of rice to help 16 members; the models “Savings Tube” and “Piggy Bank” raising 13.5 million VND to support 5 disadvantaged women. The program “Accompanying women in the border areas” mobilized 367 gifts worth more than 324 million VND, giving away livelihood cows, bicycles, and scholarships to poor women and children.

The Association is managing 8 groups borrowing capital from the Social Policy Bank with outstanding loans of over 3.1 billion VND; 14 savings groups with outstanding loans of 15.8 billion VND, overdue debt rate of only 0.09%. The work of building the Association's organization continues to be strengthened, 100% of staff are trained professionally, 11/11 branches maintain stable operations, no weak units.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade H'Vi E Ban, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Lam Dong province, Chairman of the Women's Union of Lam Dong province acknowledged and commended the outstanding results achieved by the Women's Union of Quang Truc commune in the past term.

He suggested that in the 2025-2030 term, the Association continue to innovate the content and methods of operation in a practical and effective direction; focus on propaganda and mobilization work for women to effectively implement the Party's guidelines and policies and laws of the State; pay attention to supporting women in economic development and building happy families; promote the core role in patriotic emulation movements, contributing to the successful implementation of local political tasks.

Launching the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Quang Truc commune for the 2025 - 2030 term

The Congress announced the decision of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Women's Union to appoint the Executive Committee of the Women's Union of Quang Truc commune, term XIII, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 14 comrades; of which, the Standing Committee has 5 comrades. Comrade Phan Thi Khuong was appointed to hold the position of President of the Women's Union of Quang Truc commune, term 2025 - 2030. The Congress also approved the list of elected delegates to attend the Women's Congress at higher levels.
