Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong holds the position of Secretary of Hue City Party Committee

The Executive Committee of the 17th Hue City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term elected Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, as Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee.

This afternoon, October 3, in the second working session, the 17th Hue City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term elected a Party Executive Committee consisting of 52 members. As a result of the first working session, the Executive Committee elected a Standing Committee consisting of 15 members; Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee, was elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee with 100% of the votes.

The congress was attended by 400 delegates, representing more than 58,280 party members in the entire city Party Committee.

Two newly elected Deputy Secretaries of the Hue City Party Committee include Mr. Phan Thien Dinh, Head of the Economic - Budget Committee of the Hue City People's Council; Mr. Nguyen Chi Tai, Standing Committee member, Vice Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee. Mr. Pham Duc Tien continues to be elected as Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee.

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong is 55 years old this year, from Phong Thai Ward, Hue City; professional qualifications: Master of Economics, Construction Engineer, Bachelor of Mathematics; senior political theory.

Before becoming Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee, Mr. Phuong held many positions such as: Director of the Department of Planning and Investment of Thua Thien - Hue province, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province (old).

Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong (voting) has just been elected to hold the position of Secretary of the Hue City Party Committee.

In 2021, Mr. Phuong was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province (now Hue city).

The 17th Hue City Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term held its second official session at the Huong River Theater. The congress was attended by 400 delegates, representing more than 58,280 party members in the entire city's Party Committee.

General Luong Tam Quang, Politburo member and Minister of Public Security , represented the Politburo to attend and direct the Hue City Party Congress. The Congress was also attended by Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs.
