Established through the merger of three communes—Phu Thinh, Ban Ngoai, and Phu Cuong—the land of Phu Thinh today carries the mission of both inheriting the traditions of its culturally rich rural areas and affirming its position in the context of the province's comprehensive reform. A new chapter has opened, where the synergistic strength from the past is nurtured to create a powerful driving force for future development.

Looking back at the 2020-2025 term, despite facing many difficulties, the local Party committees provided decisive leadership and direction, the government actively managed the process, and with the consensus of the people, the implementation of targets achieved many important results, which are concretized by "telling figures".

The average product value per hectare of cultivated land reaches 117 million VND/ha. Tea alone yields over 1,645 tons of fresh tea leaves annually, making a significant contribution to the total tea production of the region and affirming its continued status as a key crop in the agricultural economy . The area of ​​newly planted and replaced tea plantations averages 5.63 hectares per year.

In addition, the scattered reforestation movement has spread, greening more than 41 hectares of land during the 2020-2025 period. The poverty rate has steadily decreased by 2.6% per year, reaching only 2.59% by 2025. The new rural development movement is thriving with long stretches of concrete roads and spacious cultural centers, transforming the appearance of rural villages…

These achievements form an important foundation for Phu Thinh to embark on a new phase of development with confidence and great aspirations.

Following the merger, Phu Thinh commune has 62 Party branches with 932 Party members, becoming a strong political collective. The first Party Congress of the commune, for the 2025-2030 term, chose the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development" as its guiding principle. Agriculture remains the economic pillar, with systematic investment in tea cultivation, and expansion of rice, vegetable, and fruit growing areas.

Industry, handicrafts, trade, and services have also made breakthroughs: hundreds of production and business establishments are operating efficiently; many OCOP products have been highly appreciated, including tea that has achieved provincial-level OCOP star ratings. The rural market system has been upgraded, and transportation, telecommunications, and e-commerce services are gradually being developed, meeting the increasingly high demands of the people.

Building upon its past achievements, the First Party Congress of Phu Thinh Commune, for the 2025-2030 term, sets the goal of transforming Phu Thinh into an advanced new rural commune by 2030, achieving sustainable economic development and a more prosperous life for its people.

Specifically, the commune strives for an average annual growth rate of 11% in the total value of local products; a food production output of 9,100 tons per year; a fresh tea leaf output exceeding 9,000 tons per year; and a 1.5-fold increase in per capita income compared to 2025. By the end of the term, there will be virtually no more poor households, 100% of the population will have health insurance, all schools will maintain national standards, and at least 20% of hamlets will achieve the model new rural standard…

To achieve its goals, the Party Committee of the commune has identified four key tasks: Building a clean and strong Party and a streamlined, effective government; promoting the application of high technology in production, especially in tea – the main crop – linked with the development of ecotourism, community tourism, and tea culture; focusing on developing small-scale industries, trade, and services, linked with digital transformation in production and daily life; and improving the quality of culture and society, ensuring social security, achieving sustainable poverty reduction, and caring for the lives of each citizen.

Despite the fluctuating socio-economic situation, natural disasters, epidemics, and the ever-increasing demands for rural infrastructure, the quality of human resources remains a major challenge for the locality. However, with a spirit of unity, democracy, discipline, creativity, and development, along with the strong aspiration of all the people, Phu Thinh has gathered the necessary strength and resources to achieve breakthroughs. The locality continues to affirm its role and position, becoming a shining example of new rural development, trade and services, and high-tech agriculture.

Comrade Duong Van Tuyen, Secretary of the Phu Thinh Commune Party Committee, emphasized: "The new journey presents us with many opportunities and challenges. But with the tradition of unity, self-reliance, and the aspiration to excel of all cadres, Party members, and people, Phu Thinh will certainly achieve the goal of building a commune that meets the standards of an advanced new rural area before 2030."
