This year's April 30th - May 1st holiday offers a five-day break, providing ample time for a relaxing domestic trip to recharge. "Go to Phu Yen!" is the slogan, an invitation to tourists from near and far to visit this land of blue seas, white sands, and golden sunshine – a beautiful, peaceful, and pristine region, reminiscent of "Once Upon a Love Story"...
Be prepared for even the smallest things.
“We’ve been preparing for weeks now. Not only the grounds, but also the staff, services, parking, drinking water, hygiene… Everything has been thoroughly checked,” shared Mr. Le Van Tien Dung, manager of Ganh Da Dia tourist area.
Not only the Ganh Da Dia (Disk Rock Cliff) - a special national monument, but also destinations such as Bai Mon - Mui Dien, Bai Xep, Nhan Mountain, O Loan Lagoon... have completed their preparations. According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, coastal localities such as Tuy Hoa, Tuy An, Dong Hoa, Song Cau, and even new mountainous destinations like Song Hinh, Son Hoa, Dong Xuan..., tourist sites, tourism businesses, accommodation establishments, restaurants and hotels are all ready in terms of infrastructure, personnel and plans to welcome visitors.
Mr. Pham Tan Cuong, a homestay owner in Ganh Da Dia (An Ninh Dong commune, Tuy An district), confidently stated: "Since the beginning of April, bookings for the holiday period have been fully booked. We also offer additional tours such as fishing trips, enjoying oysters in O Loan lagoon, and cycling around villages and the countryside… everyone who comes loves it!"
Mr. Trinh Quang Bao, CEO of Sala Beach Grand Hotel, said: "Since the beginning of March, we have implemented new programs to serve tourists. This holiday season, the number of room bookings has increased compared to last year. With the advantage of being close to the beach, and during the summer season with calm seas, tourists can comfortably relax and experience this peaceful area."

Tourists choose carefully where to entrust their money.
Ms. Y Jinh Niê, a tourist from Buon Ma Thuot City (Dak Lak), who is visiting Phu Yen for the third time in the past two years, expressed: “I feel as close to home as I do back in my hometown. The beach is beautiful, the people are lovely, and the food is cheap and delicious. This year, hearing the news that Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces are merging, we have even more reason to come to this land of golden flowers and green grass!”
Not only tourists from the Central Highlands, but also visitors from Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Da Nang, etc., are flocking to Phu Yen to avoid overcrowded tourist destinations in major cities. Travel agencies such as Saigontourist, Fiditour, Vietravel, and Du Lich 365 have launched many all-inclusive tours to Phu Yen combined with Quy Nhon, Dak Lak, and Gia Lai.
Phu Yen is poised to become an attractive destination on the tourism map of Vietnam and the region. "Go to Phu Yen!" is not just an invitation, but a commitment to a wonderful experience in a peaceful and emotionally rich land.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Hung, a representative of a Hanoi-based travel company, said: “We had three large groups visiting Phu Yen during the holiday. The tourists really enjoyed experiencing Phu Yen's main destinations such as Ganh Da Dia (Disk Rock Beach), Quang Duc Xua tourist area, Mang Lang Church, Hon Yen Island, Thanh Luong Pagoda, Truc Lam Phu Yen Zen Monastery, Bai Mon - Mui Dien, and experiencing the early morning fish market at Long Thuy beach. Phu Yen tourism has a very unique character.”
Positive response after VITM Hanoi trade fair.
At the VITM Hanoi 2025 International Tourism Fair, the Phu Yen booth attracted a large number of visitors and partners. This was the first time Phu Yen presented a program promoting the region's unique culture through art performances and a culinary demonstration of ocean tuna, showcasing green, distinctive tourism products, combining coastal and island tourism with agriculture and community culture...
Mr. Nguyen Le Vu, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, who is directly in charge of the booth, said: “The Phu Yen tourism industry has cooperated with many travel companies and the press to promote and spread the image of Phu Yen's homeland, people, and unique tourism products during this summer and the April 30th holiday to tourists and partners, both domestic and international. We are very pleased to receive positive feedback, with many units registering to survey new tours. In particular, travel companies in Hanoi and the northern provinces have directly connected with Phu Yen businesses to gather more information, establish links, and cooperate in bringing tourists to Phu Yen.”
Mr. Dam Dai Huu, Director of Dai Huu Travel Co., Ltd. (Phu Yen Smile), a native of Phu Yen with a company in Hanoi, said that in recent years, the cooperative relationship between Phu Yen and Hanoi tourism has become increasingly close. Hanoi has supported the promotion of Phu Yen tourism products right in the heart of the Old Quarter, in the capital city, providing information to domestic and international tourists. In particular, after the VITM International Tourism Fair, the Hanoi Department of Tourism sent a delegation to Phu Yen to survey tourism products and services.

Expectations for a breakthrough during the major holiday season.
Building on the positive signals from the April 30th and May 1st holiday last year (approximately 55,000 visitors), in the first quarter of 2025 alone, Phu Yen's tourism industry welcomed a total of 1.18 million visitors, a 33.7% increase compared to the same period. The total number of overnight stays reached 685,612, a 24.1% increase compared to the same period. Phu Yen's tourism industry expects a breakthrough this year, especially in the context of expanding regional linkages and cooperation programs with the Central Highlands provinces, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, etc.
With the goal of building Phu Yen into an attractive and friendly destination, the local tourism industry continues to affirm its new position on the Vietnamese tourism map. It is a land that is not noisy or crowded, but quietly captivates visitors with its simple and sincere beauty.
As shared by Ms. Pham Thi Hoai (a tourist from Hanoi): "Every time I return to Phu Yen, I feel a sense of calm amidst all the hustle and bustle - a feeling unlike anywhere else."
According to Mr. Ho Van Tien, Chairman of the Phu Yen Tourism Association, with its strengths in coastal and island tourism, pristine beauty, many wonderful scenic spots, along with the distinctive culture of the Nẫu region and rich cuisine, Phu Yen is increasingly asserting its position as a destination attracting the attention of tourists on the Vietnamese tourism map. The meticulous preparation, attention to detail in every service, and the friendliness of the people of Phu Yen will be a plus in the hearts of tourists.
