The reconstructed models use light cream-colored khaki fabric. The hats, badges, insignia, and accessories are designed according to the regulations in the decree issued in 1946.
According to representatives of the unit carrying out the restoration process, they faced many difficulties due to the scarcity of photographic and artifact documentation regarding the uniforms of railway workers from that period. The restoration had to ensure respect for historical value while also being suitable for current usage conditions and the modernization orientation of the railway industry.
The uniform designs are expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2026. Afterward, the railway industry will equip its staff at several tourist stations such as Hai Phong, Hue, Da Nang, and Da Lat with the uniforms to celebrate the 145th anniversary of Vietnam Railways and the 80th anniversary of the railway industry's traditional day in October.
