Phuoc Tin gets a "new look"

A people-friendly government that serves the people.

At the "one-stop service" department of Phuoc Tin Commune People's Committee, residents are gradually becoming familiar with the modern equipment and the updated digital technology used to obtain the information they need. Accompanying her mother to the "one-stop service" department of Phuoc Tin Commune People's Committee to complete administrative procedures, Ms. Phan Thi Oanh from Phuoc Qua village expressed her satisfaction with the dedicated and welcoming guidance from the staff. Ms. Oanh shared: "I rarely come here to complete administrative procedures, but every time I come, I am greeted warmly and friendly by the staff, who guide me through the steps very specifically. With the active guidance and support of the officials in charge of the department here, my mother and I completed the procedures quickly. I even scanned the QR code to view the commune's information."

Not only is it equipped with modern equipment and complete digital government procedures, but at the "one-stop service center" of Phuoc Tin commune, each official and civil servant must always adhere to the four principles of "please": "Please say hello, please say sorry, please say thank you, please ask permission"; the four principles of "always": "Always smiling, always gentle, always listening, always helping"; and the five principles of "no": "No authoritarianism, arrogance, causing difficulties or inconvenience; no bureaucracy, indifference, irresponsibility; no corruption, waste, or group interests; no flattery or deceit; no abuse of position or authority in the performance of official duties." Mr. Bui Dinh Hai, a land and transportation official, shared: Although there is a shortage of staff, each official and civil servant here is young, qualified, capable, and knowledgeable in information technology. We strictly adhere to the principle of serving the people.

Mr. Van Dinh Trung, Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Tin commune, said: "Since August 2023, the commune Party Committee has issued a plan to implement the construction of a friendly government that serves the people. The People's Committee has been equipped with basic equipment such as computers to support people in submitting online public service applications and information lookup machines to facilitate transactions for citizens. The People's Committee has also publicly and democratically disclosed the annual budget revenue and expenditure estimates; publicly disclosed contributions from the people; and publicly disclosed the management and use of public assets… Citizens can simply scan the QR code to see all the information."

“Besides that, the team of officials and civil servants, especially the heads of the government, must always be exemplary, friendly, and responsible to the people. Everything is geared towards a friendly government that serves the people. Currently, from the Party Secretary, the Chairman of the People's Committee, and the Vice Chairman of the People's Council, they all have specific schedules to directly go down to the villages to participate in activities with the people, listen to their opinions, or resolve pressing issues and requests at the grassroots level. From the beginning of 2024 until now, the commune has received nearly 800 applications, of which more than 500 were submitted online and have been resolved,” Mr. Trung added.

INTEGRATE INTO THE PROVINCE'S INNOVATION

Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, Party Secretary and Head of Phuoc Yen village, Phuoc Tin commune, expressed his delight at the changes in the locality. He shared: "Since investing in the construction of new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and now model new rural areas, Phuoc Tin has undergone significant changes, and the people are extremely happy. Right in Phuoc Yen village, not only has a spacious and modern new-style cultural center been built, but the people also enjoy outdoor sports equipment at the cultural center, a football field, and cultural facilities serving their material and spiritual lives. The village has also been equipped with fixed fiber optic cable infrastructure and 3G/4G mobile broadband networks. The people of Phuoc Yen are very happy, excited, and confident in the Party and the development of the country."

The village cultural centers in the area are all fully equipped with infrastructure and facilities to serve the needs of the people.

The Chairman of the People's Committee of Phuoc Tin commune shared: According to Decision No. 182/QD-UBND dated February 13, 2023, of the People's Committee of Binh Phuoc province, regarding the criteria for a model new rural area in 2024, Phuoc Tin commune has met the criteria. For general criteria such as advanced new rural areas, we have achieved and maintained 20 out of 20 criteria; ensuring the income criterion at nearly 95 million VND/person/year (the criteria set requires over 92 million VND/year in 2024 - PV); the smart village model with digital transformation infrastructure, security camera surveillance system at village entrances, and public address system using information technology... have all met the requirements. Regarding the digital transformation criterion, Phuoc Tin has submitted online applications at levels 3 and 4, reaching nearly 70%, exceeding the required rate. Currently, all six villages have established community digital technology teams on the Zalo application. These teams carry out extensive information and propaganda activities on policies and guidelines to the people, and receive positive feedback and interaction from the residents.

Since the implementation of the model new rural development program, infrastructure projects in Phuoc Tin commune have been completely built. From 2021-2025, the commune invested in the construction of 8 projects in the fields of education, transportation, and culture with a total value of tens of billions of VND. Phuoc Tin has also established a specialized durian cultivation area with high economic value and a registered planting area code. The lives of the people have improved as all infrastructure and cultural institutions are fully met. The model new rural development program is propelling Phuoc Tin to "take off" in the coming time.

In 2024, Phuoc Tin commune achieved and surpassed all 14 socio-economic development targets. The Phuoc Tin commune Party Committee also completed the Resolution of the Commune Party Congress for the 2020-2025 term one year ahead of schedule. This serves as a foundation and driving force for the Phuoc Tin commune Party Committee to enter a new, promising phase of development. Mr. Doan Ngoc Lam, City Party Committee member and Secretary of the Phuoc Tin commune Party Committee, stated: Preparing to enter a new era, an era of national progress, the Phuoc Tin commune Party Committee has identified two key tasks and three breakthroughs. These include building a strong organizational force in terms of quality and quantity to ensure smooth operation from the commune to the villages. The breakthrough for the next term is building a strong political system in the villages; ensuring that mass organizations and residential areas are truly strong, mobilizing all resources to promote the strength of national unity.
