In the quarter-finals, singer Hoang Linh stood out with her vocal technique and style of combining electronic "jazz" music with Chinese folk sounds, which is said to have similarities with the musical color that Phuong My Chi is pursuing.
If Hoang Linh uses her creativity and courage to redefine Chinese music taste, Phuong My Chi brings a Vietnam that is sophisticated and full of traditional yet very modern cultural depth. To maximize the vocal advantage as well as Phuong My Chi's strengths, Bong p hu hoa was chosen as the "trump card" for her competition this time. The song has "caused a storm" in the Vietnamese music scene since its release last year, inspired by "The Story of a Nam Xuong Girl".
The performance at Sing! Asia 2025, under the advice of DTAP, was upgraded at the climax, not only enhancing the emotional effect compared to the original but also creating conditions for the female singer to fully demonstrate her vocal technique and stage presence.
With the desire to bring national culture to the world , Phuong My Chi and DTAP not only want to introduce Vietnamese melodies to international audiences, but also hope that they feel and understand the depth of Vietnamese lyrics and stories. With that spirit, the team chose to translate the chorus, helping the judges and viewers in China easily access the meaning of the work "The Story of a Nam Xuong Girl" - a literary work rich in humanistic values.
To ensure accuracy and semantic depth during the translation process, the Vietnamese lyrics of the work were directly consulted and edited by a team of lecturers from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City.

In the chanting section of Bong p hu hoa , DTAP uses the dan co, a traditional musical instrument associated with Southern amateur music, as the main sound axis. The sound of the instrument evokes the Southern artistic space and recreates the chanting spirit typical of this genre. The integration of the dan co into the modern arrangement shows respect for national heritage, demonstrates a creative conservation mindset, and contributes to creating a unique mark for the performance on the international stage.
