Complete and timely
On the afternoon of April 29, 2026, members of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, leaders of the People's Committee of Nam Do Son ward, along with representatives of various departments, agencies, and organizations, visited and presented gifts to Vietnamese Heroic Mothers in the area.
This is one of many practical activities implemented by Nam Do Son ward to care for the lives of the people, especially policy beneficiary families and vulnerable groups. According to the ward's People's Committee, since the beginning of the year, the locality has paid monthly allowances to 1,875 people with meritorious service, their relatives, and the relatives of martyrs, with a total expenditure of over 6.26 billion VND. At the same time, more than 10,085 people under social welfare programs and the elderly have also received allowances totaling over 10.83 billion VND.
Mrs. Nguyen Thi Hien, a Vietnamese Heroic Mother, emotionally shared: “We are deeply moved by the thoughtful attention and visits we receive from the local Party committee and government during holidays and in our daily lives. Not only families of war heroes, but also many disadvantaged people in the area receive timely care.”
In addition, the ward has effectively implemented health insurance policies for vulnerable groups. Currently, 100% of social policy beneficiaries in the area have been issued health insurance cards for medical examination and treatment, with nearly 7,300 cards in total. Of these, more than 2,171 cards are for people with meritorious service, relatives of martyrs, and those who participated in the resistance war; nearly 3,000 cards are for the elderly and social welfare beneficiaries...
Homes built through sharing.

In addition to fully implementing policies and regulations, Nam Do Son ward actively mobilizes social resources to support people in overcoming difficulties. During the Lunar New Year 2026, the locality mobilized and distributed over 600 gift packages with a total value of approximately 415 million VND to families of war veterans, near-poor households, elderly people living alone, and other disadvantaged individuals.
In particular, the "Great Solidarity" housing construction program continues to spread its profound humanitarian significance. On April 7, 2026, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward handed over a "Great Solidarity" house to the family of Mr. Tran Van Khoa in Quy Kim 2 residential area. Mr. Khoa's family faced particularly difficult circumstances: his elderly mother was frail, his wife was frequently ill, and his two children were young, while their old house was severely dilapidated. With a donation of 100 million VND from the "For the Poor" Fund and the help of relatives and friends, the family was able to build a new, spacious, and safer house measuring 60 m².
In addition, healthcare services for beneficiaries of social policies continue to be effectively maintained. The ward coordinated the organization of medical examinations, health consultations, and free distribution of medicine for approximately 300 people with meritorious service, with a total cost of about 165 million VND.
Chairman of the People's Committee of Nam Do Son Ward, Hoang Gia Dong, emphasized: "Social welfare work is not only a regular task but also a measure of the responsibility and humanity of the government towards the people. Nam Do Son Ward always determines that it must better care for the lives of people with meritorious services, vulnerable individuals, and disadvantaged households so that every citizen can enjoy the fruits of development."

From heartfelt gifts to newly built homes, from timely support to the full implementation of social welfare policies, Nam Do Son ward is gradually building a united and humane community, where social welfare work truly becomes a solid foundation for the people.
