Porsche has given the Netherlands a gift in the form of a dazzling, impressive and extremely unique product. Nicknamed the “Tulip”, this unique 718 Cayman GT4 RS was commissioned by Porsche Netherlands and built in collaboration with Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the Sonderwunsch personalization program and Manthey Racing. Pastel Orange paint covers almost the entire exterior of the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS The Tulip, except for the air intakes on the hood, carbon fiber spoiler, rear aerodynamic discs, and Porsche lettering on the rear spoiler, which are painted in black or white.
Subtle yet meaningful touches further accentuate the theme: the tulip logo on the fenders, the Dutch flag stripe running down the rear wing, and the Manthey Racing logo remind you that this is more than just a show car. The 20-inch forged magnesium wheels, finished in satin black and combined with a carbon aerodynamic disc at the rear, further accentuate the speedy sporty style. Step inside and the floral motifs typical of the beautiful country of the Netherlands continue to be dotted. A bright tulip motif adorns the door sills, while a similar flower is embroidered on the headrests of the bucket seats.
The interior is upholstered in black leather and Race-Tex fabric, with bright orange accents that stand out against the exterior. The piping, embroidery, and even the door straps all match the Pastel Orange color scheme. Porsche doesn't stop there, buyers also get a color-matched key and case, a special edition 718 Cayman GT4 RS Chronograph, and even a thermos mug, each decorated with the tulip emblem. Underneath the national flag is powerful hardware. "The Tulip" is based on the Porsche 718 Cayman GT4 RS, the most powerful version of the 718 series, equipped with a 4.0-liter flat-six naturally aspirated engine producing 495 horsepower. In addition, the car is equipped with the Weissach package and the optional Manthey kit. Manthey's upgrades bring additional carbon fiber aerodynamic details, a redesigned rear wing with a stretcher cover, and improvements that shave more than six seconds off the GT4 RS's Nürburgring lap time, down to 7:03.121.
Porsche Netherlands will display "The Tulip" at the Zandvoort circuit during the Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix, which will take place from August 29 to 31, 2025. Whether the car will be retained by the importer or purchased by some lucky collector remains to be seen. For others, there is some solace in souvenirs. The tulip-branded stopwatch and accompanying thermos are on sale in the Porsche Netherlands online store, limited to 718 pieces, priced at €69.95.
