The 52nd Miss Intercontinental 2024 final took place in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, with over 70 contestants representing countries from around the world competing.

In the final results, the crown went to the representative from Puerto Rico, María D. Cepero. The titles of first, second, third, fourth, fifth, and sixth runner-up were awarded to contestants from Venezuela (Georgette Musrie), the Philippines (Alyssa Marie D Rendondo), Vietnam (Bùi Khánh Linh), Germany (Celina Weil), the United States (Kenyatta Michelle), and Zimbabwe (Amanda Peresu Moyo), respectively.

The new Miss Universe is a businesswoman and lawyer. She holds two Bachelor's degrees in Business Administration and an MBA in Accounting. She is currently studying law at the University of Puerto Rico. María is fluent in Spanish, English, and French and is learning Portuguese. She has also established her own foundation with the goal of empowering women through business.

The final night included evening gown, swimsuit, and Q&A segments. Miss Chatranalin Chotjirawachat - Miss Intercontinental 2023 crowned her successor.

The final night was enlivened by a group performance by the contestants in eye-catching black outfits, exuding elegance and a touch of mystery.

Following the group performance, the MC announced two important awards that secured two direct tickets to the top 7 finalists. The Power of Beauty award went to the representative from the Philippines, while the beauty queen from Puerto Rico won the People's Choice Award .

The top 22 revealed include representatives from: Philippines, Puerto Rico, Kenya, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Japan, Cambodia, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, Moldova, Germany, Wales, Czech Republic, Russia, Belgium, Cuba, USA, Canada, Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil.

In the evening gown segment of the competition, the contestants wore many striking, elegant, and eye-catching designs.

Next, the contestants showcased their stunning, toned physiques and confidence in the swimsuit segment, wearing black bikinis. The representative from the Philippines excelled and won the Best in Swimsuit award.

The top 7 most outstanding contestants were the Philippines, Puerto Rico, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Germany, the USA, and Venezuela. Bui Khanh Linh, representing Vietnam, won the Miss Intercontinental Asia and Oceania title.

In the Q&A segment, Bui Khanh Linh was asked about the qualities needed to be Miss Intercontinental. The Vietnamese representative stated that Miss Intercontinental must be someone with a beautiful appearance. Following that, a warm heart and a spirit of learning are essential. A warm heart to empathize with and love those around her, and a spirit of learning to create wonderful things for the community.

The remaining six contestants also offered insightful answers revolving around life's values ​​and standards.

The Philippine representative expressed her views on cosmetic surgery, stating that it's acceptable if done for personal reasons, but should be avoided if done to meet the expectations of others. She emphasized that beauty lies not only in outward appearance but also in inner qualities.

The Puerto Rican representative affirmed that the essential qualities of an ideal partner are empathy, compassion, and a willingness to help others.

The Zimbabwean representative emphasized that the era of outdated stereotypes about women is over. Women today are breaking barriers and changing the world in a positive way.

When asked about the definition of "inner beauty," the German representative shared that this beauty is about being in harmony with one's life goals and, most importantly, living true to oneself.

The American representative said the biggest lesson she learned from the competition was that there are no standards for beauty. What matters is being authentic, loving yourself, and not changing yourself to fit someone else's standards.

Finally, the Venezuelan representative affirmed that the most important thing in life is to be yourself. According to her, the key to success lies in one's mindset and the ability to control emotions.
