In their quest to avoid relegation, PVF-CAND faces a major challenge at Hang Day Stadium against The Cong Viettel in Round 24 of the V.League 2025/26. Despite playing away against an ambitious team vying for the runner-up position, PVF-CAND's goal is to secure points before the final two rounds of the season.
Coach Tran Tien Dai's players entered the match with great determination and created opportunities against the home team, The Cong. The visitors scored the opening goal when Alastair converted a penalty in the 25th minute.
The home team, The Cong, needing to compete for second place in the V.League standings, staged a strong comeback in the remaining time of the match. After several missed opportunities, in the 77th minute, Xuan Tien scored the equalizer, making the score 1-1 for the home team.

Playing with determination and a tenacious, effective defense, PVF-CAND left Hang Day Stadium with a very valuable point. This point helped Ly Duc and his teammates temporarily escape the bottom of the table, moving up to 13th place – a play-off spot.
The point gained in round 24 helped this team further narrow the gap with their two rivals above them, Becamex Binh Duong and Hoang Anh Gia Lai (who will face Thanh Hoa in round 24), to 3 and 4 points respectively (18 points compared to 21 and 22 points), with only two rounds remaining in the tournament.
Becamex Ho Chi Minh City FC and Hoang Anh Gia Lai FC also face a major challenge from Hanoi Police FC (who have already secured the championship three rounds before the end of the season) and Hanoi FC, who are competing for a top 3 spot, before facing each other directly in round 26. The final stretch of the season cannot be taken lightly by the clubs at the bottom of the table.
