The National Golf Championship - Gia Lai 2025 has ended, but the impression of a brilliant season with many excellent performances from golfers continues to be mentioned.

In an interview with Tien Phong newspaper reporter, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung - Deputy Head of High Performance Sports Department of Vietnam Sports Administration, Vice President of Vietnam Golf Association, Co-Head of the Organizing Committee, highly appreciated the quality of the tournament as well as the professional capacity of the participating golfers.

"Observing the 2025 National Golf Championship, it is easy to see the clear progress of Vietnamese golfers in general and young talents in particular. They have made great progress compared to the previous generation, especially in terms of technique and adaptability to course conditions," said Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung. "I am also very impressed with the mettle that the young golfers have shown. We saw this through the way Nguyen Tuan Anh created an exciting and dramatic final match with Truong Chi Quan, from a tight chase to bringing his opponent into the play-off, then winning a worthy victory."

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, the progress of young golfers is really a good sign for Vietnamese golf. "Of course, all these great things are formed through training as well as competition in big arenas. The National Golf Championship is such an opportunity, helping golfers hone their experience and competitive spirit," he said.

As co-Chairman of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung also believes that the 2025 National Golf Championship taking place at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon is a suitable choice. "This is one of the difficult courses, with the wind constantly changing at each time. This helps increase the attractiveness and competitiveness of the tournament, while improving the level of participating golfers," he shared.

In addition, for the national players preparing to participate in the 33rd SEA Games, the 2025 National Golf Championship is a very good preparation. In addition to the competition between the best golfers, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung said that FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon also has the same length and climate as Siam Country Club Rolling Hills (Chonburi province, Thailand).

According to Mr. Nguyen Quoc Hung, the progress of young golfers is really a good sign for Vietnamese golf.

At the 33rd SEA Games, golf will have 4 sets of gold medals: men's individual, women's individual, men's team and women's team. In early August, Thailand decided on Rolling Hills as the venue for the 33rd SEA Games golf competition. About 1 hour drive from Bangkok, Rolling Hills has been in operation since 2019, is rated to meet international competition standards and has hosted many LPGA tournaments.

Like FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon, Rolling Hills is also a challenging, tactical course, designed with deep bunkers and undulating greens. The experience gained during the 4 days of competition at FLC Golf Links Quy Nhon can help players adapt to the challenges at Rolling Hills next November.

Currently, the first 4 faces of the National Golf Team have been determined after two National Amateur Men's and Women's Championships VAO and VLAO 2025, including: Nguyen Trong Hoang and Ho Anh Huy (men), Le Chuc An and Anna Le (women).
